well this trip was a great one, thanks to jason, it was kinda warm but the wind stay with us and kept things kinda cool, after we get our gear down to the dock with the atv, we get setup and now its close to 2am. at around 3am i start things off with a couple kittys, then he gets into this carp at 12lbs or so.

then i followed it up with this one here,

then a bit later jeff gets this one here.

after that it stoped, but the kittys didnt lol. the next day we was sitting around talking when jeff gets a bite,he sets the hook and says its a turtle, after unhooking it we let it sit on its lid for a bit to teach it a lesson, so i thought id snap a pic,

after that i went and got lunch, we at and while i was eating jeff got this nice common with a tiny head lmao

anyone know what this stuff is, it felt like silicone but looked like a jelly fish in the water lol.
when night came we baited up a whole lot and settled in. here is a few more pics and jeffs new pm drift wood and pb common carp at 18lbs.

here is my 20 and 23 from last night and this morning.

yeah its harmless, i think the term for it was "water shield", just some weird plant life!

It was a great trip, and i think we ended up catching somewhere close to 30 catfish

well, thats 7 photos of carp and i know i put 2 back in without getting a photo, and i'm almost certain you put one back without
a photo as well, so that would put us at 10 Carp for the trip!

well no if i was actullay going for catfish, and i would love to get one like in the pics above.

it's just when you catch as many cats as we did in 2 days vs the number of carp, they tend to get on your nerves.

shoot i think there is more cats than carp in there, its pretty bad when you catch 3 at a time every 10 to 15 minutes. you have to put in so much bait that by the time your done, your already tired.

here is a pic of what most looked like,

Nice work guys! That's about the average haul of fish there this time of year seems like.

Congrats on the PB Crago!

Also...if you wanna thin down the cats you gotta either fry 'em up or curry 'em. Hehehe.

actully jesse we took some scorpian maize and soaked it in chillipowder water in the sun. it seemed to work, but mostly tiger nuts was the main bait due to turtles

yes and no.

they seemed to like the ones i have soaking in vanilla butternut, while the dynamight frenzied tigers seemed to last, i did lose a few but it took a bit longer than with maize, with maize you was getting bites and then reel in and no bait.

Turtles are rarely a problem on Tiger nuts. I know where Chris was, and usually on that lake, catfish and turtles will eat anything Maize or boilie related...but the turtles will leave Tiger nuts alone.

Last time I was out there I couldn't catch anything on maize cause the turtles were all over it, but as soon as I switched to Tiger Nuts I caught quite a few carp.
