Well guys and gals. I just got an email of the list that is going to carry my baits. Its not the same as what we first looked at. By that I mean the Oklahoma stores went from 5 to now 0. If things go the way I see it,and if all the changes I am working on work out soon, then I am sure we will see about adding more stores. Big thing for me is to hang in there awhile and keep these folks happy. Heck... I just hope that they can sell these things now. I have a lot of customers on here that support me, and I appreciate you guys. Only have one request if you live near one of these stores and support them, dont forget to grab a couple TNT's while your in there, grin wink Maybe it will all work out. They tell me the baits should start popping up in the stores on Thursday, I guess I gauged that about right. Here ya go.

Hopefully I can keep up with these guys, and if things work out the way we hope maybe sooner than later, you will find them down that way. But if your needing them, hard to beat the online vendors that carry them.

Thanks guys, for all your support. This has been a goal of mine for quite awhile....Now, have some new goals, we will see how it all shakes out.

Bryon,
Something tells me that Academy won't have any problems selling these slabs. I think they are going to have more of a problem keeping them on the shelf smile. Best of luck to you & looking forward to picking some up at the E.Plano store!

I wasnt to worried about getting that initial order out for Academy, I am a little worried about how soon the next order is going to hit, cool smile Guys, please by all means stimulate that economy, thumb

Safe to say that his probably hasnt hit their store yet. I am just going by what they gave me as an estimate of when they should start getting to the stores, and I was told today. I would imagine some may be a bit later then others, then it is a matter of when they go from a box to their shelves. Hopefully next time you make it back there, they will be there. Thanks for letting me know that.

Went by the Lewisville store at lunch, they have them on their shelves so I picked up a few.

Idea to stimulate the economy since our government is in such a generous mood and handing out money for everything. Get our congress to start a cash for clunkers program for old slabs. Turn in your old beat up slabs for new TNT slabs that look better and hold up much longer.

Sorry ya made the trip up there, and not any TNT's... I visited with one of the managers with the wichita falls store, was just curious if they had gotten theirs in yet, as that is about 70 miles from me. He told me that they hadnt recieved there's. Also, he told me that the stores are on different shipping schedules, so a store could have them today and the next store might be on a different schedule, next day. If truck comes in on one day it will probably be stocked the next day on the shelves. Sorry guys wasnt aware of exactly how that works, also....I thought calling a store might allow you to know what stores have the baits but that doesnt work either. I called Lewisville this evening and the person I visited with in the fishing department had never heard of them, sleep confused Anyways, its something new for them, I guess we will know what stores have them if people report back on here. But with that list I provided I would say that sometime very soon...next 2-3 days they should be on the shelves. Thanks to those who have taken advantage of the ones that are carrying,,,,and thanks in advance to those who will, wink

LOL.... Mackerel.

Friend took me fishing off Grand Isle. He wanted me to bring some topwater baits and my topwater box had a couple of your lures in it.
So I tied one on!!

Caught a few of these and some other fish.......

Pete,
Go to the following web page on Bryon's website - http://www.trollingnolanstackle.com/tricks.htm.
This should get you started. Keep in mind that when you see the schooling on top, there are probably som big ones below waiting for an eay meal. This is where a slab excels.

I was in the Academy stores in East Plano and on Forest Lane in Dallas today looking for TNT lures but they dont have them yet. I asked the department manager in both stores about stocking the lures and they didnt know anything about them. I guess they are in the distribution system somewhere.

Just got a couple this evening from the Burleson store. They were on the side of an end cap, in the right isle, but not on the regular shelf. Not a bad place to be promoted. But for the regulars who know what they are looking for, and go straight to that section, you definitely want to be there too.

Me and a friend picked up a few at the Lewisville store. I have a question why is it so hard to find a slab in 1/4oz. I have looked at three stores. Looks like BPS is only one that has them.

I will go ahead and take your bait once again, $2.99 to $3.79, at least I think thats what they run. Now your turn....I think you once made mention on a thread about the $1.29 or so slabs at Academy,,,,as far as I know they still carry those as well. Good luck.

I am not in a position to say much on the behalf of the stores, but I can tell ya, I sell 3/8oz size slabs and I would be willing to wager that a 3/4oz or 1oz bait would outsell it at least 100 to 1, at least this time of year. I sell some of those early spring though, good bait for other species as well. That might be why some of the stores dont carry them. I know when Academy asked me what lures to carry they only want the best sellers and then they choose from those what to carry. Probably the reason you are having a hard time finding them.

I was in the Academy stores on Central Expressway (east Plano) and Forest Lane in Dallas yesterday and today and they dont have the TNT lures yet. May be in transit and not arrived yet. Talked to the department manager in both stores and neither knew anything about stocking them. Hope to see them on the shelves soon.

I stopped by the Grapevine store this evening on my way home from work to see if they had 'em. I looked all over the wall where they should have been and could not see any. Then just when I was about to leave I looked down and saw them on the bottom of the shelf/wall in three baskets. I had only enough $ to pick up a couple of them this time, but I know I'll be back for more. I selected the 180 in 1oz. Glad to see 'em there and can't wait to try 'em out on LL.

Any chance that they'll get 'em in at the new Academy store on N. Tarrant & 377? I live just across from there.

Went our yesterday morning and found them between the twin poles and party cove from 6am to 7:30am non stop. I was using half oz chartruse slabs from the local bait shop. It seemed they liked them the most. Also tossed a clear torpedo that was so hammerd at the end I had to bend the hooks back in place, It was great.

Bryon,
I own a few of those $1.29 baits.
I had them before I discovered your lures. (I picked one up and looked at it at one of Varner's lure demonstrations at BPS).

Yes, if you break off a LOT... the math says they are a choice. But 99% of the lead flying out there is fished on soft bottom lakes from boats...... making yours the easy choice.

The $1.29 baits tend to turn a 'lead gray' color after a dozen or so whites.... LOL. substandard hooks and substandard
internal wire.

I still have a TON of your lures. But I am headed out to th Plano store now to support your distribution efforts.

Congrats. Quality work pays off!!

Just got back from Plano store on Central Expwy.
Not yet. Though they did have a couple of new choices.
They DID HAVE the 1/4 oz made by Bomber Lures.

They are pretty busy now with Rod Riot and deer hunting sale

I will keep checking back and pick up 4 or 5 a week for a few weeks.

See the post above. I put up a photo of a Mackeral I caught on a TNT Slab.

I see this color tied on a lot in the other photos posted here.

My fav color for all around use

White would be my second choice.

Dont know why they wouldnt be there. I cant give a definite time when they would be in there, but I figured by today they would have been there. I will give it a few more days and find out the listing of where exactly they were all sent, but they gave me the list that I posted, maybe they changed something along the way. I once told them I didnt need a whole lot of stores cause I could sell a bunch of them even with fewer stores. Will find out soon though and get back to ya, sorry they werent there.

Tried out my new TNT 180 on LL last night. The SB & Hybrids love them. I had a really nice one break off just under the boat. Now I gotta go get some more. I need to pick up about 4-6 this time. Hope they have enough (GV store).

Those 180's in 1 1/2 to 2 ounce are getting smashed right now on Lewisville!!!! I like chartreuse, white, or a combination. Also the holo patterns work extremely well!!! If I am going more for hybrids, I REALLY like the 1 1/2 ounce to 2 ounce haymakers!!!! Get you a few TNT's and find out which ones you like best. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks guys for your support. Looks like some of the stores have them and some dont. Just remember this is a new item to these stores, some of the people that work at these stores dont even know that they are there. They wont always be in the usual slab spots per say. Look high, even low, if there is a box in a cart, might even peak there, lol. Being something new to be carried in the middle of the season makes it hard on them to get into the normal setups of placements as well. The TNT's have to show that they are worth keeping around, and maybe one day they will be in spots where they can be more easily found. Thanks again, and I will pass more along when I know any new news in regards to these stores.

DONT USE TNT SLABS THEY WILL WEAR OUT YOUR FISHING POLES!!
When I use them my poles keep bending and something keeps try to pull all the line out I have to either cut it or real them in and get them off of the lure. How do you supposed to read or nap with all that going on?

Striperag, before I even got the first purchase order Academy wanted me to do more stores than this. At this time there is really only so many I can output. Things are in the works to go into more stores in the future, and ways to increase output are in motion. These things take time, but if I can keep them happy in supplying them when I am suppose to, and if I can sell the product, then that will allow me the opportunities to get other stores in the future. This wont happen overnight, but we will see what the future holds. I got some pics today from good buddy,Holzer today. I will try and post them on here when I find some spare time to give ya some direction on where to possibly find them in these stores, they arent all in the same places.
Also, if you are wanting to try out the baits, I would highly suggest using one of my online vendors, www.finnytribe.com and www.crucialtackle.com they are both pleasant folks to deal with and ship them fast.... that is the best I can do for the time being.

Really just didnt think to post about it in the bass section to be honest. Will do it there as well though, thanks for your interest. I sell mostly to the sand bass, hybrid, and striper fishermen, but there have been some nice largemouth, spotted, and small mouth bass fall victim to them as well. Check out the lures on my website, I dont currently sell there, but I do have a couple online vendors and close to 30 stores now selling them.

oh, im definitely interested. i rarely fish for stripers, but i do and some sandbass. however, this past winter i was using some other slabs for some deep jigging and caught bass, crappie, sandbass etc...so it looks like i could use a couple of these and want to support the tff and its members grin

Okay here are a couple pics of where they are located at Grapevine(thanks Holzer). I just want you to see what the packaging looks like and one place you might be able to find them. I just got off the phone with my buyer with Academy, and being a new product being introduced during the middle of the season it is hard for them to put them in prime locations. He told me might be looking at endcap areas, anywhere they can basically put them. The lures are going to the stores that have been listed as before, but they may take awhile to get out on the floor. Hope that helps. Thanks guys!

Hey Basangler here are some pics for you too see where they are at in the plano locations to better help you and others who maybe looking for them in those two stores. These probably hit after you had been in there as you probably wouldnt have missed'em. Guys this all takes time for them to hit shelves, but the list they gave me are the stores that they will be in, hopefully already are, or soon to be, sorry but best I can do. You can't rely on what anyone tells you if they are in these stores unfortunately. These lures are in a good portion of the stores this is a new product for them if some of the workers there dont even know where they are at, so keep that in mind....and remember not always where you think they would be it is a mid season add on, so they gotta put them where they can....but the plano stores have them in nice places actually... also there stock levels are moving, so they could be in a store this week and out till restocked thru distribution. Thanks guys, good fishing... no lures for me for a couple days, taking a family weekend, havent done it all summer and I am TOAST, crazy

Burleson Academy has'em on the end caps just like Plano West does (Although they are on the opposite side of the isle!) Just bought 5 or 6 more. Wanna try 'em on Whitney tomorrow!

Don't think this was one of the original stores listed, but I saw some in the Fort Worth store off I-20 and Bryant Irvin Rd. Kind of a surprise to see them there.

I dont forsee in the near future them carrying the limit gitters. That is a great bait though, that some of my other vendors do carry. If you should ever have a problem finding them, pm or email me and I will see what I can do for ya.
