Mr. Paty was nice enough to include the USR (Lowrance) waypoint files for RR and LL when I purchased his LL waypoints. He noted that the files could be converted to HB gpx files but wasn't sure of the process. For those that are interested in the conversion process just login to the HB website and go to commonly asked questions. Search for "Can I convert my Lowrance or Garmin Waypoints with Humminbird PC 3.026 or higher using an MMC/SD card?" The process is straight forward and will enable you to convert the Lowrance files and your HB will automatically upload the waypoints when it recognizes the file on startup. I have a 798. I'm assuming the other models have a similliar process. In any case, Mr. Paty Rocks!
Moderator...This is applicable to this forum because Mr. Paty didn't sell his data to the bass guys....:)
.USR files can be exported to .TXT from Lowrance's "Map Create" software. Surely .TXT can be imported into HB. If Shirley won't do it I will for ya. Quote from the orig Airplane Movie: "Don't call me Shirley"
If you own an HB all you have to do is download HumminbirdPC from the Humminbird website...Download the USR file into the program with an SD card and it automatically converts the waypoints to .gpx within the program...When you upload them back to the SD card they are in .HWR format and will load to your bird when you boot up the unit with the SD in the bay...
