Skeeter Ronnie has been frequenting this forum for several years now, as shown in my post count. I have learned a lot of information from this site, and met some great folks along the way. I think most all of them I can call a friend. Its not too often in this world that knowledge or making contacts comes without a price. We are a lucky group to have the caliber of talented individuals that are associated with the Texas Fishing Forum. I asked permission by the TFF administrator, and was approved, to offer something back to the forum that has taught me so much. I fish Ray Hubbard very regularly, and have learned to attack it in several different ways. The lake has taught me so much, in regards to adapting different techniques. I am usually on the water Monday and Thursday afternoons, and most the day on Saturdays. I fish alone many times, and often wish I could pass on the knowledge I have learned to other TFF members. I have taken out a few TFF members, and also passed helpful tips on to other members via personal messages on the forum. I want to help you guys, as much as others have helped me.

I am offering a backseat to anyone who is interested during the times I fish out on Ray Hubbard(Monday 5-9pm; thurs 5-9pm; sat daylight-noon). All I ask is that you think of the gas/oil/maintenance of the boat we are fishing out of. If you are able to help out, thats fine- if not- thats fine as well. I dont want to know how much you are putting towards the boat- just put in the glovebox and I will use it to help fill up on the way home. I can teach, or show, techniques I use on Ray Hubbard to catch fish out there. I am able to fish for any species you want to learn about. This isnt a guide trip, its a trip for fellow TFF members to learn what I have learned from the TFF. This is all about an appreciation for the knowledge, friends, and contacts I have gained from the TFF.

If you would like to learn a little more about specific techniques, or just more about the lake- send me a PM and I will start scheduling our get togethers. I would like to keep it to a one person per session, unless you would like to bring your child. That is fine with me. You will need a lifejacket for your child though. I keep 3 adult jackets in my boat.

I can teach you about the Hummingbird Side Imaging (997si), reading contour maps(Navionics), and running a boat in rough water. I have a pretty broad spectrum of Dobyns Rods and Shimano Reels we can use if you like. I also have baits, hooks, weights (I just ask that you remember it costs me to purchase these). You really dont need anything, just show up and we will have a fun trip.

I can fish in rain, wind, hail, snow, blizzards- but DO NOT expect me to fish in lightning wink Thats my only fear.

I would like to keep this to PM on the forum, so my cell phone isnt ringing off the wall all the time wink I will give you my cell number once we figure out a date to fish , in case something comes up.

I am going to stay away from the river area, due to the extreme pressure it receives now. There are several other areas on the lake that are just as productive. Besides, I dont want to show someone the way I run up there- and have them hit something and get angry towards me. I already feel bad enough about showing Keeb where I run, and he hit a stump frown .

Nice Ronnie, I bet a lot of TFF'ers can learn a lot from you. One of these days we'll have to get together and bomb the reeds like you did for your recent 10lb big momma!

several miles of reeds and grass we can bomb near deep water, that hold good 3 and 4 pounders and the potential for a big mamma. smile

Way to go Ronnie! Sure lots of boaters and non-boaters will take advantage of this offer your presenting.

Kudos to Ronnie for being generous and helping out fellow TFF'ers!

This is the kind of stuff that makes TFF great. I've made quite a few friends and learned alot on here in the past few years.

That is awesome guys. Especially for those of us who are new to it, or just getting back into the sport. I've been trying to soak up as much information as I can from everyone I see posting on here.

If you get a large amount of people wanting to do it, I'm more then happy to bring my boat and my newbie self out to Ray Hubbard with more folks on my boat. We can always throw some dock bumpers out, tie up together, and make it a big classroom. laugh

Very, very, very ,very, very considerate of you Mr. SkeeterRonnie! My hats off to you for your awesomely kind offer to fellow TFF'ers. I would love to take you up on that offer soon. Unfortunatly I don't have a job right now, and would'nt even think of asking you to take me for nothing. But as soon as I'm back working you'll be recieving a pm from me. You're a good man, thank you for your kindness and consideration. May God richly bless you
