Costa Rica next week

Hi all, I'm leaving Monday to go to Costa Rica and will be gone for ten days. I don't know how much fishing time I'll have, but I really want to get a peacock bass off the fly. Also I wanna fish for snapper. I'll be touring the rain forest and other places and I'll be sure to get as many pictures as possible!

Don't remember exactly where they are located, but they have some great zip lines down there!

I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!! That was an awesome trip. It wasn't really a fishing trip but more of a wildlife thing. I saw frogs, lizards snakes, sloths, monkeys, crocodiles, and many more things. I went fishing for 3 1/2 hours on an ocean kayak and caught a 15 lb Pompano that took my 1 hour to reel in and a grouper and angelfish. I'll explain more later.

Way to go. I want to go there. It's on my bucket list. Did you do the zip line thing? I would probably burn up my camera down there...

here's the Pompano. I'm holding this fish right on my chest so you can see the size og this fish (i know it's not really that big of a fish, but it is huge for it's species and it took me an hour to reel it in). With its wide body and thin, swept tail fins, I'll bringing that reeling that fish in was probably as hard as winding in a kite during a hurricane. Nice job.
