I see people parked at the bridge all the time...I thought it was just some creek fishing but I'm thinking they're fishing that pond. I didn't even realize it was there until I drove from behind the high school in Wylie over to 78 the other day....I had never been back there before.

I used to wonder the same thing until now. I always saw cars parked there when I would go out to Lavon Dam. Wonder what they are fishing for. Might have to take a look at it next time.

I have been out there. Really muddy. I think most people are fishing the discharge, but no idea what is in there.

It is privatly owned...everyone there could be fined heavily for trespassing. All you have to do is ask for permission and all should be good. Be careful, there is plenty of posion ivy.

any idea who to ask? It looks like a pretty big pond, but I don't think anything is being discharged unless that thing has a water source other than rain/run off. There's barely any water under the bridge when I drive over it.

EDIT:

I do see where on the east side of the dam there's a small pool with what looks like foam from a discharge, and there's water in the creek going southeast from there. I'm going to check when I drive home but I don't think there's that much water in the creek right now. I do see where it looks like there's a fence between the road and the main water. Interesting stuff.....

I checked this out a couple weekends ago. The discharge is a small pond, steep sites, probably 10 feet to the water. Saw lots of rough fish in there hitting the top of the water, can't say I saw any game fish. Lots of trash and bait containers, no wonder no one wants people fishing their ponds. I didn't walk up to the main pond but there's an obvious trail going up the dam from the discharge area. One morning I'll take some live bait and my cast net over there and see what's bitin.
