I got some new material and really it took me a few weeks to decide how to try it on a jig. Well here is a picture of one I tied this morning and just would like to have others take a look and tell me what you think of this. I see lots of flies tied with busy looking buggy stuff so am thinking maybe this will work like they do. Have this in lots of colors and looks awesome for flash and color.

Actually would prefer to post this on the crappie board, but it probably would get moved here anyway. I like hearing from the fishermen.

I don't know about that one Skip. Too crazy for me man. I'm sure it'll catch fish but I doubt I would wet it on my line.

That's okay Fillet, everyone has opinions and I am looking for any. I have to admit it is growing on me though. The first one I did I tied a white body jig and used this in red for a long collar and that one is still making me think more, LOL.

This stuff looks really great color and flash wise though. I have a few from another board that loved it, but in the end the fish will need to decide. However for now people will need to tell me because it's too darn hot again for me.

I may sneak out early one morning though as I have to pick up my feeders anyway so I may as well drop a jig in the water huh?

Thanks,

Thank you and I have put it in a bowl of water since posting this and it actually looks better than I even thought. When wet and pulled out is slicks down and then back in the water it opens back up some and the little tentacles just wave around.

It looks simular to dubbing. Which I have used and it has great action in the water.

I do some dubbing bodies too and yes some of that kind of material look like this, but the fibers here are 1"-1 1/4" long so lots of nice flowing action.
