sounds good Kleen, we were doing pretty good with the strawberry corn today, i was using the hair rig, but couldnt find a good enough bait stop to keep the corn on the hair so i just baited the hook and they were running like crazy with in, and Jesse, it wasn't a drag problem, i think the second one was a bad knot maybe, but the first break was clean cut on 30 lb mono, i was quit amazed the fish never really stopped running and as soon as i tried to turn him, spink.....line break...

yeah, and that mole cricket was wicked, as soon as he saw i was intrested in him, he started to burrow into the sand, left him there for a while till the sun came up and i could get some decent pics

sure ill give it a shot just let me know, i gotta find some decent bait stops somewhere close or something though, sticks and grass and etc wont work there, too many fish in the area beat it around and just knock em' off with ease

at benbrook, i didnt have a problem using sticks, but at this park on LW, they tinker with it quit a bit and it seemed like the "bait stop" would just fall out

maybe I need togo out there with yall and help catch those fishy things with yall

thanks, first encounter with that bug dragon, but we had a good time, and Kleen that would be cool, i truly think this is a sweet little honey hole for what could be decent size carp, and i don't know but there might be a few grass carp too, and from the looks of it, i dont think there is any pressure on this part of the lake as well, i walked up and down the bank and didnt see much remnants of any fishing gear like hooks line etc

there were a few swimmers, but they seemed to stop all stop at a certain distance, thats what makes me think there is a nice deep spot here where the fish might come in and lay up when the surface is hot, plus there is a private boat club about 4-500 yards off the bank, all sail boats though and there was no boat traffic except for some early bass fishermen who respected us on the bank enough to just pass on through and let us fish

you know its kinda funny, i was going to fish all over this lake but now it seems i found what i was looking for without much trial, but i will give other spots a chance just so this one particular spot doesn't get pressured, dont know if a hand full of people can put that kind of pressure on one spot but im sure it would help to find other options if infact this was a lucky strike(hopeing its not)

yeah thats what i figured, its a dawn to dusk park but im going to contact the city about night fishing, its in an older neighborhood with low low traffic seems fairly clean kept and hopefully it would't be trouble in the citys eyes to fish at night, like the W/R policy
