Not fishing, if that's what you meant. Maybe to a friend's party or something. Otherwise that's just "stocked up" for my dad and I, lol. Thanks Guillermo, you as well!

Yep! One of my all time favorite barleywines. Seems like a lotta places have run out this year, but the Majestic by us still has it in stock.

justin, great selection of imports there, my new fav beer is the sierra nevada pale ale. yummy. You're into Sierra Nevada Pale Ale? That, is awesome. That's a major gateway beer hehe. Congratulations Kevin, you have come to enjoy the taste of hops. Welcome to the club my friend! Before long you'll be keeping up with the rest of us beer nerds in our microbrew discussions! However, almost every beer I listed, including the Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, are American Beers. ( The only Imports are the Urthel Samaranth and the Malheur 10 ) Everything else is an American beer. Sierra Nevada and Stone are both breweries in California, Avery is in Colorado, and Real Ale is right here in Texas!

One that you are missing is New Belgium Brewery's "Mighty Arrow." Apparently it was a seasonal brew and although I drank several, I cannot find it locally now. It was a GREAT American pale ale. It was almost (ALMOST) too hoppy for me.
Since you are in Texas you should probably have some Rio Blanco Ale by Real Ale Co. The combination of Saaz hops in an American-style pale ale is really interesting.
I wish I had enough time to brew the beers I really like.
Cheers, Kelly McCoy West Texas

Cheers, Kelly McCoy West Texas I've had Mighty Arrow. It was pretty good! I'm not a huge fan of New Belgium beers anymore, but I like a few of their products. But I'm a huge hophead! Mighty Arrow was no where near hoppy enough for me hehehe. I like IBUs in excess of 90-100 hehehe. As for Real Ale, they are a great brewery, one of my favorite Texas Breweries. I like Rio Blanco a lot, but I personally prefer the Full Moon Rye pale ale, it's a very tasty pale ale, nice and hoppy but not over the top, and you can still taste the rye malt very well. Great summer beer, that's the Real Ale I've got in the cooler right now. Though I wish Real Ale would go ahead and bottle their Devil's Backbone Triple instead of only selling it on draft, I'd love to be able to buy a six pack of that stuff for the weekend! So are you a home brewer then? What other styles do you like? Imperial Stouts, Barleywines, ( Double ) IPAs, and Belgian Quads/Triples/Doubles are my favorite styles hehe.

That beer doesnt bother you Justin knowing how sick you are sometimes. You know what? Most of the time it doesn't, thankfully. I've been lucky enough that it hasn't given me any real problems, I just take it easy when my numbers, especially my whites, are down. Otherwise as long as I don't go overboard I'm alright. And yeah, since you were there...ever since that infamous Fork trip I've been VERY careful about that LOL. Since that probably had something to do with my rather extreme hangover lol. One thing to keep in mind is even when there's a cooler loaded with that much beer...that's gonna be there a while lol. Not only am I sharing it, but I'll only have a couple at a time, at most.

I'm sure I'll figure something out Karl! Hehehe. Thanks man, you too! You live here now so may as well celebrate it with us right? Too right I do......Any excuse for a celebration!! Funny how some view a Brit celebrating July 4th, my gardener who is Mexican was really surprised when I said we would be having a few people over for July 4th, "But you are from the UK" he said.... "Yeah but I have lived here for the last 10 years, which is longer than you"........... I told him I also celebrate Cinco de Mayo too, then I asked him what was actually been celebrated by Cinco de Mayo.....he had no frigging idea!!!!

Starless,
Yes, I am a home brewer although I cannot afford to engage in all my hobbies at the level I wish at the same time. So, I tend to have serial hobbies. Home brewing comes and goes as other activities wax and wane.
I have a number of favorite recipes that seem to be US and UK versions of similar beers. I really like pale ales, bitters, porters, the lighter stouts, and German/US style wheat beers (I can't stand the Belgian Wits with coriander). Although I really like hops (I've even tried to grow them here) I like lower gravity beers. That way I can drink more.
Cheers, Kelly McCoy West Texas

Cheers, Kelly McCoy West Texas Very cool! I gave up the whole low gravity thing a while ago. I'd much rather drink a couple high gravity/ABVs over a long period of time, savoring them, then a buncha low ABV beers hehe. Plus they tend to be more complex, robust, and worth savoring. But that's just me. Hence my favorites list above lol.

I brewed an imperial stout yesterday. Pitched the yeast at 7PM and she was churning out the blowoff tube at 2 AM. Took a peak into my fermentation chest and the blow off tube had jumped out of the bucket and the chest was 2" deep in krausen.
Wow, this is a voilent fermentation. Glad I had it contained.
OG 1.090 We'll see what she ferments down to. Oh and starless, I've got 86 IBU in there. A bit soft for you. LOL

On the 2009 Bigfoot. I've put some away for aging. I partook in a verticle tasting of Bigfoot vintage 1988 to 2008 a couple of months ago. It's amaizing how it changes over time.
