I felt like a failure today. Only boated 4 keepers, but no one else I talked to was doing any good. Night fishing seems to be the key right now. A buddy of mine went out last night and limited out quick and I went right at sunrise this morning to the exact same place and got skunked. He said he left them biting too! Here are a few pics from today's adventure.

This is what I call potential...

Same here Jacob. BigMack and I went out to Grapevine and only caught a couple dinks. We did however do a lot of scouting of the lake which is good. You got to do that sometimes too. We marked a bunch of potential spots and got off the lake around 10:30am before it got crazy hot. Now I am taking a break from raking leaves...ugh.

Hit Belton this morning to give Granger a break. Caught 50-60, most were 9 to 9 3/4 inch fish again under the 36 bridge on Jigum Jigs. Should be a great fall and winter if it ever gets here. Had eight solid keepers 12-14 inches. Water temp was 87 to 89 degrees but it sure was COOL under the bridge with the south wind blowing. Wish Granger had a bridge.

Where have all the Big Fish gone EP?

the full length of the lake right...almost 450 pilings! I bet I could catch 25 keepers if I fish every one!
