changed my mind, ran some errands instead and now cleaning up garage and gonna head to ray roberts tonight with a buddy and fish all night when its cooler.

That sounds like a great plan. Night fishing in the summer is the way to go.

just got home, didnt catch a single fish!!! not sure whats up with that.

Did you go to Ray Roberts? I've struck out at Grapevine several times both day and night but RR always produces at least a few.

What type of rod are you using? When I first started out I used a 6ft medium action rod -the same one I use for bass. I quickly figured out that an ultra light rod with light line is the way to go to feel those light crappie bites.

At RR I usually have success around the 3002 bridge and timber just to the north. Also try the tires over at RR Marina. Drop a minnow or jig down between the tires and use a green light at night. Good luck.
