Fished the morning away in the SHADE of the 334 bridge while everyone else suffered in the 106 degree heat. Fished with Maurice (FWSKIN) and Kevin (crnerblitz) and had a great time. Day started slow but picked up after 8:AM. Kept about 20 for them to eat and released over 100. Quit at 11:30 and had a shower and a nap. king

Great day.

Not quite cool enough for me yet - I sat in A/C most of the afternoon, then moved to the house and snagged a few heaping mugs of frozen margarita using a spoon. Gonna turn on the yard sprinkler here pretty soon and stand nekked under it - don't look, Ethyl! scared

Come on winter....

Great Ernest, glad you guys caught so many. Yes, it was very hot today for sure. That is where I would have been under the bridge out of the sun. That's where we caught them on Tues, good place to be when the sun is high in the sky.

I had a blast and learned so much my head is spinning. Or is that the butt whooping that was laid on me by Ernest and Maurice. Yeah that might be it. Those two guys can FISH! Maurice sure ties a pretty jig too! Thanks again Ernest.

Not all of us are so lucky to be able to fish in the shade. That same day that Ernest and company were "suffering" in the shade, my two clients and myself were standing ALL DAY in the sun.....catching fish. Yeah, the heat was bad, but the fishing was great. Of all the crappie that we caught, only about 20 were shorts, but the rest of them (two limits) were really good fish. All fish came off brush, as we didn't fish any docks. Fish were caught in 12' - 20' of water, on just about any color, but the Rocky Top Stingers were the hot bait.

Oh and BTW, Ernest did manage to get out of the 74 degree AC long enough to come down to the dock to 'watch' me fillet the fish, after which "I" drove home while he ate, drank, dozed, and generally relaxed after a hard morning in the shade eeks bang realmad
