I currently have a 07 Classic Duramax and it pulls great, getting 19 mpg when pulling the boat. I would love to try out the Tundra but want to know what others are getting when pulling their boat.

gas engines wont ever have the same comparable MPG to a diesel when towing. i would guess 13mpg ona tundra when towing, which is about normal for an v8 gas engine.

I say if you really want a different truck, and you can afford it, get one. I don't think the gas motor will be as good for towing, but unless you tow a lot with a big load (bigger than a standard bass boat) gas will be fine.

My Tundra gets about 11-12 mpg pulling an 18ft bay boat.
