Ive seen a couple guys here that make a combination plastic and hair jig.

Id sure like to learn that type but dont have a clue how to get started on the plastic...

Any suggestions?

I have a friend who makes those. He made his own mold for plastic baits too. Ill ask him and tell you sometime.

Radtexan i had my mold made from aluminium. The plastic come in a liquid form I heat the plastic in a pyrex measuring cup.

I first made one out of plaster of paris, took a jig head and cut of part of the hook took a wood dalpen cut it to the size i wanted , mixed the plaster of paris pour it in a rattel trip box then try to get the plaster to the right consention. Start with old worms and cut into small piece and melt in the microwave. I use a marinade injector to put the plastic into the mold. my # is 817-277-0825 Bill

Thanks Bill ,exactly was I was looking for..Didnt quite understand what you meant about cutting part of the hook off to make your mold ?

Cut part of the hook off the jig then push the hook into the wooded dalpen. Cut the barb off. Then put the jig and wood into the plaster of paris when it harden you will have a mold. Bill
