Im intrigued to hear why people prefer bass pro shops over other brands. Any particular reason besides its price?

Interesting that someone voted for Berkley Vanish. From my experience probably the worst line ever.

Im intrigued to hear why people prefer bass pro shops over other brands. Any particular reason besides its price? Personally I have found it, overall, to be just as good as the Seguar Invis-x. I'm not sure if BPS has contracted with them to make their version but I like it for the price. The abrasion resistance and diameter of the 20 lb is just as good as the Seguar. I still prefer the Seguar smaller diameter lines though.

Realize this: There are alot of new, young, inexperienced anglers that have not see the "light of day". That's why we get the "What is your favorite...." repeating all the time. Also, some folks might not have tried any of the other's for various reasons.

Over the past few years there have been many postings on comparison test done on flourocarbon lines. The BPS out performed most and was not far behind the rest in most of the tests. The price makes the difference unless you have specific need for another brand for specific application.

Thomas, I have tried a few of the others and I feel that BPS performs as well or better than the others for quite a bit less money. So budget is definitely a factor. I love the new LFT line, but it's not true flourocarbon. I keep hearing rumors about a 100% flouro coming out from them, but have not heard for sure. I also have only used it on a crankbait rod so far, so I don't think that's a fair test. I love the way it casts a crankbait though!

BPS is an example of quality not being the most expensive.
I generally use only P-line CX Premium for all applications.
Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

I have not had the opportunity to try the New Lake Fork Trophy Line. I didn't know it was not true Fluoro. If it is a "HYBRID" then I would not have put it on the list.

JM2C The Fluorocarbon Showdown that Tackle Tour did a couple years ago ( http://www.tackletour.com/reviewfluorocarbontest.html) says that there are just three major manufacturers, one in Germany and two in Japan.

Our new 100 percent fluoro will be called Hyper Fluorocarbon, It will be a 4 core process, right now the top quality fluorocarbon lines coming out of japan are only 3 core process. This new Hyper fluoro is some amazing stuff.
