1. Question: Whenever targeting a dock, how many casts do you make to the same spot before you feel youve worked it correctly?
He will cast to the productive areas of the dock multiple times, if he feels that a spot should be holding fish, he will makes multiple cast from multiple angles.

Watch both videos, this show's you how long he will stay at a dock if he feels like there should be a fish there. 1st video is 5:13 long I cut it down for you tube he catches the bass in the second video at 7:27 on the tape.

2. How many different baits will he drop in the same spot?
Brady said he has his confidence baits that he will use on a dock, Cranks, Jigs, and a selected few of softplastics, If you spend to much time rerigging and selecting new baits you waste time on fishing docks with lures you are more confident in.

3. Does he feel that wind will position fish on certain spots on docks the same way the sun does?
YES. Sun keeps the fish relating to shade under a dock, same as wind. The wind causes the bass to get out of the current to where they have more control. They will position behind poles and ladders when the wind is blowing into a dock, it creates a ambush point.

4. Are there any docks that he will not even bother with?
New Wood Docks. For 2 main reasons, first they dont have any algae that would hold bait fish for the bass. Second, those docks usually take about 6 months to become productive and hold fish, do to the fact that the wood is treated and it needs time to loose the odor and slick to start holding algae.

5. What is his favorite bait to skip under docks?
3/8 and jigs, the color depends on water color.

6. Please have him describe the perfect dock. Wood or metal? On a depth change? With or without brush piles, Covered boat area. Weeds? You know, just everything!
A isolated dock on a main lake point thats in 3-6 feet of water with deep water and or a creek channel near. Metal Poles with Brush and rock under or very close, and a lot of cross beams.

7. What not to do around docks?
Get to close and Hit poles above the water. He talks about this in a video.

8. He fishes tawakoni all the time lets say on a lake hes never been too, that has lots of docks where does he start.
Summer time he will start on the main lake looking for isolated docks and early spring and fall he will move to docks in creeks or near the mouth.

9. Will he fish docks later this summer with a 4 wheeler or on horseback after Tom Hicks uses his annual 10 million gallons of water (really), along with the rest of the Dallas folks?
He said thats the way he likes it best.

10. Are seasonal patterns the only determining factor between fishing main lake docs vs. docks in coves/creeks?
Nope, baitfish also play a role in his decisions, if there are no bait fish around bites will be harder to come by. SO he looks for docks near a solid bait fish population.

Talking about Docks for Summer and Spring

11. How many times does he re-visit a dock throughout the day?
Two Or three times depending on how productive the dock is also. But even if he know there should be fish on it he will still hit it 2 or 3 times.

12. What type of rod & reel set-up does he use along with line of choice?
Cranking- Falcon CLC417 Composite Glass, Shimano Citica, 12-15 pound Andes Mono
Jigs and plastics- Falcon Cara CC7173 Amistad, Revo Premier, 20 pound Andes Floro.

13. Is tawakoni relevant to other lakes in regards to patterning "specific" docks? everyone says "fish shallow"... but on other lakes- docks may be in 40' of water.... even on eagle mountain.
Every lake has its owe personality, some lakes might be set up to where bass can hold on docks in 20-30 feet of water. Just because bass on T-Wak hold on Main lake docks during the summer better, on another lake thats deeper or such, the bass might still hold in the creeks and channels.

14. when does he reach for a square bill over flipping bait...Such as will he fish say an RC on docks without visible brush, and pickup a flipping bait when he sees a brushpile, or I should say how does he approach his bait selection on various docks...
He will always start with a crank bait to attack the aggressive fish first, he will then pick up a Jig or Softplastic to work the dock a little slower.

15. Tips on skipping waaaay under to get to the back of the dock.. his opinion on using spinning reels so you don't get the backlash.
Thats all preference, he prefers to use a open face, since that what he feel more comfortable with and he can go with a little heaver line. Just go fishing sometimes to only practice casting and that will help make you a more productive angler also.

16. I just want to know how he got so totally awesome.
He fished with a HEAVY SET roofer that tought him everything.

17. How long do you spend on one dock/boat slip?
Instinct, if you feel comfortable staying there then fish it hard, but most of the time your gut will tell you when to move.

18. If you catch one fish off a dock/boat slip, do you usually catch more from that same dock?
That really depends on the lay out of the dock, most of the time there will be another fish around there, but you might have to make this dock a milk run through out the day.

Video on always hitting the shade first.

Can't wait to read this one. Brady needs no intro if you tournament fish the DFW area. Great stick.

I'm all ears.

Brady = AOY on multiple trails in the area. Definitely need to listen up to whatever he says.

Question: Whenever targeting a dock, how many casts do you make to the same spot before you feel youve worked it correctly?

Brady is a stud on Tawak and is a freaking good caster. I think that accounts for a lot of his success.
