Come join us on the banks of White Rock Lake Saturday July 18th 8pm to 8am. This is an informal tournament with multiple location pegs. We will meet at the parking lot just south of Fisher Rd at 7pm and the peg draw will be at 7:30pm sharp.
Please don't be late because it will affect your fishing as well as everyone else since it is dependent on the number of anglers and that will determine which swims I will be using. If you know you will be late let me know ahead of time so I can draw your peg for you so we can maximize the potential of the lake. For example if we have 10 entrants, 3 people will fish one swim, 3 others will fish another , 2 at another and the last two at a different swim(" fishing location" for the noobs). If you show up late without letting me know ahead of time you will not know where to find us and I am gonna stick you in a [censored] swim with a bunch of snags
The reason we are doing this is so your neighbor can verify your fish to keep it fair and last time we had quite a few people who were late for the peg draw and screwed up the original plan of a multi swim tournament instead of lining up in a row on one bank since only like 6 people were on time.

ok guys, there should be enough mats and nets available for you guys to use. so don't worry about that. As far as teaming up, this is an individual event but you might get placed next to someone or trading your peg is acceptable so long as the rest of the group agrees

I have fished Lake Cleburne with not so impressive results as far as carp are concerned. I did manage some nice eating size channels though.

cool, i work out there, or will be again when i get off of w/c, but we work about 10 minutes from the lake where 67 goes over the lake didn't know if it would be worth fishing, anyone ready for Saturday? will it be rain or "shine"? or if the weather turns south will it be rescheduled? i know there is a line of weather trying to push south as of right now

my wife still hasn't gotten used to my obsession with carp fishing whether euro or on the fly.

my wife will never get use to my fishing obsession!! after 14 years though she gave up trying to get me to stop though so I won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and now that i have picked up carp fishing she has no idea what to do with me cause im obsessed with it. im originally a crappie man and now i have a fish to go after the rest of the year when the crappie arnt spawning

you might even give up crappie fishing to catch carp. I'd say the majority of the big fish are caught oct-april and that coincides with the crappie spawn.........

no ill just have two poles in the water for carp while i jig for crappie best of both worlds!!!!!!!!!!!!

nah, the weather looks great as far as I am concerned. We will get a wind change that will make or break the fishing depending on which peg you get. Around midnight the wind is supposed to change from ne to se. West shore line looks the best bet at some fish.

ok , so it looks like 8 people are gonna show up. could go as high as 10. I am thinking we are going to split up in groups of 4 on the west side since we have have a east wind tonight, I may go with 3 groups of 3 at three different locations but we will see at the peg draw. I would like to have the peg draw right at 7:30 so we can get set up and ready to fish by 8pm. make sure you guys bring headlamps, lanterns etc.... I will have my certified scale there if someone catches a carp bigger than 24#8 I will help you get it certified for the lake record, but only if over 24#8
