I'll quote a great fisherman we all know, "We will have more than 1 team, and less than 100".

If it's real hot that may keep a few people away but I fully expect to have 15-20 teams participate.

Never been to Lavon, though they got the rains this year to make the lake healthy again.

I hope to hook up with some of you here later this Summer, because my freezer is bare and the family is getting ancy at me for not keeping it stocked. :P

I may try the slips to see if I can get 3-5 keepers, but doubt it'll happen.

Good luck on the tourney!

Fished this morning with Fillet O' Crappie at Lavon. We caught about 30 fish with about 7 or so keepers. All were caught on timber and brushpiles in 15-20 ft. Today was my first time fishing Lavon and I do have to say I was impressed. Big fish went about 1 1/4 lbs. Black/Chart Rocky Tops did the trick. Should be a great time at the tourney and should be alot of fish caught.

Gonna take 10.50# pounds with a 1.80# big fish to win. I'm just not sure I can compete with some of you boys, that Cody kid scares me eeks

Your only going to have about 1 1/2 hours of good fishing, better be in the right spot at the right time thumb

Well just tell me where it is and ill be there Jerry.

Seriously maybe it should have been longer but I said it would be a short one so we are going to stick with it on this one. It will be the same for everybody so if the weights are shorter than thats just what we will deal with.

Jerry I hope you fish it...

If I ever win one of these I want it to be beacuase I beat you.

Got to have goals, and my goal is to put the hurt on the best there is someday. And Ill never get that way without fishing against the best.

July 26th Lavon Sunday's Tourney

Will be out of Little Ridge

Ill be at the ramp from 5-530 to take money. Fishing is from 6 to stop at 11:30 and be in the weigh in line at 12:00. At 12:01 the line will be closed per the clock on my ATT cell phone. 7 fish limit. With the heat of the summer Im going to say you can put you fish on ice if you like. Everyone knows what a day old fish looks like so dont bring one to the weigh in. Every fisherman will pay $25. If you have three in your boat you entry fee will be $75. $5 from every fisherman will go to big fish. There was a $50 permit that will be taken back from the entry fee's. We have a brand new scale but I will not be taking anything back from this tournament to cover costs for the scale. Anthony (fishinaholic) will post the rules in this thread. If you like to sign up early I work in Plano and live in Mckinney.

Feel free to call Brian 214-732-7859

Please try to have your form signed, filled out, and cash when you come to see me. I will not launch my boat till 5:30 so that gives you 30 min to sign up.

Rules for Lavon's July 26th, "Sunday Tournament"
