not that I want (or am willing to pay for rather)the more expensive version but what is this a knockoff of?
My favorite popper has been the Chug Bug which dances around more than others, which is why I've always liked it.
I threw the H20 Express popper some this weekend, and it dances and has a nice sound to it. "Dances" being in comparison to say an original Pop-R which just pops in a straight line.

i am throwin an excaliber one right now, and dont like it. seems too light to chunk as far as I want it to go. i liked the looks of the H2O, but the store clerk pist me off the night i had a handful of them- so I left them on the floor.

I had a guy at Academy Saturday tell me they didn't have the new swim baits in yet. They were not on the shelf with the other H2O stuff. I found them on an end cap. Not sure where they find some of these guys. Mesquite store. Sorry to hijack the Popper post.

Sorry to hijack the Popper post. this is the reason I left the basket on the floor. probably the same guy. he needs some training in customer service.

I bought a few of the Sammy look alike and busted a few bass on Friday with them. They swim really well and even pop out of the water sometimes like a fleeing shad.
I have a Largemouth at home....sometimes she lets me go fishing.

I have two of their poppers and they seem to work pretty good. I've only used them twice so far, and only one fish for the moment. Te Jury is pretty much still out for me right now.

Done real well with them. I like them better than a Pop R.

The h2o baits are a really solid line of baits for academy. The crankbaits (lucky craft) and swimbaits (spro) were dead on. I have not seen a difference in numbers caught between using the H2O brand and expensive ones. The popper (yellow magic), TWS (Lucky Craft Sammy), and Frog (Spro) are good baits, but not as good as the original. They will all catch fish, but the expensive baits will outfish them.
