June appears to be picking up right where May left off. Choke Nate & Curtis of Yoakum,Tx fished a good mornining of catching with till the storms blew in. We played with a little fire catching no.50 as the storms were coming on the lake, got off just in time and thanks to Mike Ryno for bailing me out again. Taking us to Caliham to pick up truck to trialer boat from South Shore. Good to have good friends and good fishin' Canyon Lake- Dad & I fished Canyon for a brief time. Fished from 1030 to 130 and it got hot (temp wise) Managed enough fish an evening fry but better yet made some more memories with Pop. Choke- Thursday Double Header Tommy & Chuck & I started the day off with a great b fast at the snrise cafe then headed out to do some catching. THe fellas put the smack down on 50 blues by 1030, followed by steaks at Nolan's..picture perfect morning. Afternoon- Bob & Candy of Weir,Tx What a day. Bob & Candy kept me laughing and we had a blast. Truly enjoyed watching these two catch fish. Great afternoon on the water and ended the afternoon with 50 blues. Friday- TLU Reunion- John,Paul,Kez, and Mike started this tradition last year with me and kept to it this year. Old College buds catching fish and swapping lies. Alot of fun. 100 blues rounded out a old times type day Sat- Jeremy and Tanna Odessa Tx Jeremy served with me in Iraq and had the family fish with me last year, this year he brought his wife. Beautiful day.Always good to catch up and share stories of past times. Fished for some lesser fish for awhile then raked 50 blues and did some gator touring and hog watching...god loves south texas All fish caught on Big Marvs fishing 3-13 ft and Double Action hooks 5/0 Tightlines Cliff

Hey Cliff- I'm looking at going after some trophy sized yellows or blues on Choke over the next few weeks. Any tips on what kind of water to look for?

I can only imagine how special it must be to hang with your dad. Those blues look healthy and tasty.

Choke Wed Travis Sr,Riley and Travis of Austin,Tx Wind got a little rough for area we wnated to fish, so we made do. Working the shallows. Found 69 blues and channels to call it a day around 1 before it got too hot. Too much fun watching youngsters reel in fish and get excited about fishing. Grant & Ethan pictured followed by Kevin,Gerald,John of San Antonio,Tx Had another windy morning but it laid down and we got on fish. Ended the day with 98 fish around 2 before the boys had to head back to fry them up for Grants HS graduation party. Another beautiful day in S. Tx Have some openings in July, we can catch them before it gets hot and have a mess of fun in the process. Let's go catching. Tightlines Cliff

Choke- Fri- Fellow TFF'er David and cousins fished with me. Wind was moving at a pretty good clip so focused on some new areas that produced quite well. Found fish from 1-6 ft with Marvs and cut bait producing best. Ended day with 75 fish limit and one worn out little guy..someone kept him up hog hunting..LOL Good times Sat-Repeat Guest Jim Blackwell and friends fished a half day. The fellas had me on my toes fromt he get go. We ended the morning with 48 fish, no pics except Danny with one of his as the boys went back to get steaks ready. Life is good. Fellow Tffer Spud and with David and "momma" of San Antone. Spud and I combo guided our guests for a day and half. Day one resulted in a 50 fish limit and Alot of laughs watching "momma" throw down on that hook set. Too much fun Day 2- Fishin was slow initially and Spud made the call to go back where we were a day earlier and try something little different using some 5/0 double actions. Worked beautifully. Ended morning with 35 fish and folks took good amount of fish home.

Day 2 Continued- Mom came down to fish and we tried it for an hour before her Lupis just wasn't doing well in the heat even with the bimini top. We still managed to have a blast and catch her and Heidi 21 fish for our fry. Truly a blessing to fish with mom and give a little something back. Wed- Steve,Scott,Johnny, And Emily of San Antonio Wind was howling pretty good this AM so we moved on to some more comfortable areas. Fishing was good but Johnny was a handfull of fun. "How did you get so good at fishin and stuff?" ...practice..."well I'm practicing right now"...lol Good times..Called it a day around 1 with the heat. Ended morning with 48 fish and alot of laughs. All Fish coming on Big Marvs, Cut Shad,Carp and Team Catfish 5/0 hooks fishing 1-11 ft. Have days or NIGHTS open for July, beat the heat and fish an evening trip. Calaveras and Braunig offer alot of fun fishing lighted corks at night... Give me a call and lets go catching CLiff
