Here I am again to post about the [censored] line that Bass Pro put on my new spinning real....it sucks, it is 10 lb test and it is green...that is all I know....back to the red cajun or stren...and it is only 3 weeks old!

20lb suffix braid or 40lb stren superbraid. They discontinued the stren superbraid...don't know why it was a good line, but basspro was liquidating them at .77 a spool...yea you read that right 77 cents for a 300yd spool of superbraid. Needless to say, I literally bought a basketfull. Should last me till the end of this month...

Spider wire Ez braid 20-60 pound ($9.99 at gander for 150yrds) Tied to a spro ballbearing swivel with 15 pound big game as a leader. I prefer 20 for light duty casting and the 60 for the heavy stuff in the grass.

Been thinking about swapping to the H20 15 pound as my leader. A friend uses it and that stuff is strong as H3LL! Just unshure I see it curl ALOT! seems to have bad memory..

I spool up with around 30yrds of the big game as a backing then tie on the Ez braid and only put on aprox 70-80yrds of it. one spool does me twice.
I use this on 5 diff rigs.

Works Great! I got snagged on a full size metal lawn chair the other day. Pulled it right in with no problems. Had me laughing for a hour or so.

Until I hooked up with a 12.5 pound 35" Bowfin! WOW what a fight that was! O so close to state record! Been going back to get her sister! They roll all over this "secret" spot I found!

I will smash that state record!!

for mono i used breakaway 30# (small dia, super strong) ... they don't make it any more ... looking to try ultima, prolly go with red ice ... breakaway is supposed to start selling it ... big game inhales sharply, BUT i do use 50# big game for a shock line

used TUF salt & pepper 35# braided spectra for years ... now trying out power pro 50# & 65# ... may check into calcutta braid per the dam-man
