I'm not asking for any secret "honey-hole" spots, but just wanting a push in the right direction. I live in Temple, and want to find some good spots to fish locally. I'm really not looking for monsters necessarily, just feel somewhat overwhelmed when I launch out into the massive Belton Lake. I'd even settle for some pointers on Belton Lake/Stillhouse good spots.

Are there any areas close to Temple that are fun kayak fishing spots?

I'd love to meet up with some other local guys to fish as well.

Might want to start your own thread on this topic, man. Probably not gonna get many responses on my thread about central TX fishing spots, and I'd rather not let this thread get hijacked.

Have you looked at the Hook and Line fishing maps for Belton Lake and Stillhouse Hollow? They show all the boat ramps, launch areas/parks, and some fishing spots around both lakes.

Lady Bird in Austin is a classic.

It's more than the catfish would do.
