That lower pond is dismal, since I have caught some nice fish there as well. I hear ya... maybe I should go ahead & post that guy's name & email addy from my post on 26MAR in this thread.... actually, his addy's not hard to find if you go to the Allen parks & rec website. Maybe a mass email from TFFers will get them off their duffs? Or... we could just pitch in & fix it ourselves.... like I posted before, it'd just take a few bags of quickcrete. It's supposed to rain tonight & tomorrow, so a patch job this morning would have it ready to fill up tonight.

Fished Bethany Ridge Park this evening. It is the park with a pond that is across the street from Bethany Lakes and Joe Farmer Recreation Center. No bruisers but had fun catching them on the fly. Click-on link for a picture.

Awesome report... I've passed the link to your blog along to a co-worker who is trying to find a good place to get his little boy on some fish. Thanks again for the awesome reports.

Is this stoney hollow park off of Parker Rd. in east Plano? I have my rods in the car and am looking for a spot to hit up after work with some good action.

Fished Stoney Hollow Park in Plano this evening. First time fishing the pond. Caught 15 Bass. But, did hook and lose a Bruiser. Click-on link for a picture. Hum.... I went there last night for a coupla hours and didn't even get a bite. The trip wasn't a total loss, though... as I was unloading my truck another car pulls in, and this guy gets out with his dog & kid & looks over at me and says, "Ya goin' fishin'?" I didn't skip a beat & said, "Nope, duck huntin'......... heeeeeeere's yer sign..." We both got a chuckle outta that one. I should've left right then.... Ah, well, it was still an enjoyable time.

auminer, thanks for the update. Had a slow bite yesterday morning but was hoping the action would pick up by afternoon/evening.
Will hit Stoney Hollow Park next chance I get. Hopefully, it is not a fluke.

Quick trip to Bethany Lakes again. Tried to get the Bass to strike while in their beds. Can see them easily in the shallows but only managed to get one to strike. Click-on link for a picture.

Fished Stoney Hollow Park in Plano this afternoon. Only one Bass. Was not able to repeat the last trip of 15 Bass on an Olive Wooley Bugger. Bass were in the shallows; just were not too interested in my fishing fly. Click-on link for a picture.

There was a blonde woman out at Towne lake with her son (or nephew, or random kid) fishing and she was out there casting for him and thought it might be you.
As Knot said above, I wouldn't spend much time at Towne Lake. Lots of pressure and I have had very little luck there. I am stubborn so I keep trying though.
If you want to get some decent bites head over to Norah Haney park in Stonebridge Ranch on Lake Forrest. I have not been skunked out there yet and they will bite on green pumpkin worms, swimbaits, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits,,, pretty much anything you throw out there.

Thanks for the info. I've driven by there several times but have never stopped. I'll definitely stop by there one day this week.
