Plans have changed. It is hotter than a $2 pistol over here. I was using a counter and quit using it after 56 whites. They were bustin shad all around the boat for 2 hours or more. It was a blast using topwater. Gotta go clean some fish. Nothin like limiting out and doin the catch and release for an hour or so. Ha Ha Ha Ha !!!!!!!!!!!! Only if I knew how to put pictures on here!

Are you talking about the main lake, or a creek?

I was talking about staying over here and fishing Livingston instead of meeting hoggwild at Somerville. Livingston is only 40 minutes from my house. I do want to go to Somerville but the whites have started schooling on Livingston. I was at Livingston yesterday and would be there today but I have a dumptruck coming today and I need to spread this base material for my driveway. I will go back to Livingston next week.

I was out trolling most of the morning......caught 16 whites, mostly small males. The females had eggs and the males, milk....

on the way home, i stopped at the new texaco on sh21 outside of Caldwell and some SOB stole my tackle box out of the boat while i was inside getting a drink. oh well!

hoggwild: are you talking about the point on south-east end (on the same side of the fishing pier)? I went to Birch with 2 other friends today, and saw a crowd of people on that point. So we went the other point on the south-west point. A bit luckier than you - each of us caught 7-8 whites, all good size. I got 8 whites, all female with under-developed eggs. Very windy in the afternoon, and no bites literally after 12pm.

hoggwild - it'd be too far to walk there from the ramp. ;-)
We drove down there. Check out this map if you haven't: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/pwdpubs/media/park_maps/pwd_mp_p4505_056e.pdf. It's a very purdy day on Saturday, there were a lot more people partying/picnicing than fishing there...

I caught 8 whites last Saturday, all being females with un-developed eggs. Hopefully they haven't all gone to the creeks yet. I plan to go there tomorrow with some friends. I'll be happy to catch anything...lol
