I have a friend coming in from Germany and I want to take him fishing. Can anyone tell me what a temporary license will cost him? Will it be the same as an out of state license for a U.S. resedent? Or is there somthing like a out of country temporary license?

From the TPWD site .. this should be all he needs :

Temporary (5-day) Non-resident Fishing (Type 207): $30< Valid for 5 days in a row for non-residents.

Why buy a license - If he happens to get a ticket, what are they going to arrest him in Germany

Thanks TNT... Hey Red Ranger, I think we will go ahead and do it legal. He never gets to fish over there and I would hate to have a perfect fishing trip ruined over 30 bucks.
