El Grande Lures has released the Gila Monster. The Gila Monster is an 8 3/4 inch flipping type of lizard with a diamond spade tail. The action on this reptile is beautiful. You can rig it T-Rigged, Carolina, or weightless. I suggest a 5/0 wide gapped hook or larger. I wanted an alternative to ribbon tailed lizards in the pursuit of trophy bass and after field testing realized we had hit a home run. The bass absolutely want to kill this thing. There is no way I would fish this on anything less than 50lb braid. We are starting off by offering the Gila Monster in the following colors: Motor Oil, Watermelon with red flake, Green Pumpkin with black flake, and Black with blue flake. Some of the Mexican Lodges were waiting on this release, so demand will be high through the summer and into fall. I will place priority on individual orders. These are hand poured and we cannot knock out 5,000 a day. Quality is more important to me than quantity on our product, but we are in a good position to meet demand. I appreciate you looking and hope I can help put a big bass in the boat for you with the Gila Monster. Log onto www.elgrandelures.com and select the store link for selection. Jay D. Thanks Panhandle. This one has taken almost a year to complete. You can't tell by the photo, but this is a full round lure. No flat side to it. My mold manufacturer got this right after many changes and modifications. I am very, very pleased with how this turned out and even more pleased on how it fishes.

The top and bottom are symetrical. Basically there is no top or bottom. I wanted it so that it could be rigged on one side, then the other without any difference. What you see on the top is identical on the other side.
