Im thinking very seriously about joining http://www.mjacompany.com/7lakes.html after hearing about it. I was wondering if there were anywhere else close to pearland to consider. Or has anyone been to 7 lakes? Is it worth the $1000?

From the looks of their fish, they are lacking in forage. Also, the lakes in this area can get very, very choked with grass in the summer rendering them almost unfishable. If you like that area, check out The Lakes Of Danbury just outside of Danbury. I used to be a member and guide there. Much nicer facility, more lakes, etc.etc. etc.

One thing to check on is the fishing pressure...how many people regularly fishing? In small lakes/ponds, the fishing can really suffer under a lot of fishing pressure, especially in the presence of Florida LMB...but it looks like a great place.

Thankyou very much for all the responses. I dont understand what "forage" means but I will defintally check out The Lakes of Danbury tonight when i get home (im stuck at work). Not sure about the fishing pressure but it will defintally be something ill look into, although i cant imagine there are too many people willing to drop $950 for a year. It seems like a great place for someone who wants to catch fish and dosent have a boat, im just not sure if the price tag is worth it. I checked out the american fish and game club, the prices are very reasonable but it seems like you have to have a boat to do any good fishing. Do you know if they keep the lakes looking nice and well stocked? Sorry for the huge paragraph and once again i appreciate all the feedback.

I was just there Saturday to try it out, infact I saw another couple from Pearland doing the same (Curious if your them) anyhow, I couldn't have been happier and decided to join.
First few casts resulted in a nice 16" LMB... between my wife and I we caught 7 LMB, 5 BG, we only fished for about 2.5 hours
and that was with me having to stop and remove fish off her hook. Interesting thing was she caught 3 nice LMB on dead shrimp. For my money and location it was worth it 100%
and with a 9th lake being built for Crappie fishing it's only getting better. When the smallest Bass caught was 9" to me that's more than pretty good. They really take alot of care out there for their lakes and fish.... next time I will bring some Barbless hooks and hit those Tiger Bass.

I was wondering if anyone is a member of the www.americanfishandgameclub.com that JohnH posted??

I went to the website..couldn't believe that you had to pay yearly membership & then $ 45.oo/daily per person to fish there.

I'm reading that right??
