All this talk about rods reels makes me cring! I have already begun replacing all the new rods and reels I bought last summer.
I have gone from Cabo 80s to Stella 20000SWs and from Shimano TLDs to Avets and Accurates, and some of my rods are becoming OTIs, I have invested more money in saltwater tackle in the last year than I have ever spent on freshwater in my whole life.
I just picked up my Avet and Accurate yesterday, they are so pretty I may leave them at home for the next trip so I wont get them dirty.

My girlfriend should know by tomorrow I believe.

Hi folks, just a quick note. We're waiting to hear from J & K about spot #20. They'll let us know as soon as possible.
We're on a holding pattern right now, just talking to a number of potential sponsors for Ocho Tuna.
We got a number of people wanting to fish Ocho Tuna, last count was 5 on standby or on the "notify me" list and several others that just wanted to know what the trip was going to be like for the 56 hours.
Other than that, we are planning and going over stuff and looking at and discussing a number of things, but nothing worth emailing everyone information-wise, yet.
One thing we'd like to suggest, if anyone has a fishing kite or can get a hold of one, we think kite flying a live flyer or a Frenzy type bait would be worth a try at night. Just a thought.
