where is best place to launch from chandler side and what/where
to watch for stumps,rocks etc?

I always launch at Flat Creek which is on what we locals call the second bridge on 315. It's a clean ramp and its busy so your stuff should be pretty safe. If you leave Flat Creek and head toward the east you will pretty quickly see a bridge for state highway 155 go under that and head south toward the dam. There are some good maps that will give you an idea of where stumps still remain.

Mike like (SMUMan02) says Flat Creek would be your best bet. Just cross that second bridge out of Chandler and the ramp will be on your left after you drive across the second bridge.
