Anyone know if sandies have been spotted in the Paluxy river around Glen Rose? Family heading to Dino Valley SP and was hoping to wet a line there. Looking at a map, hard to see where the whites would come from if they spawned up the Paluxy. Anyone know where the Paluxy dumps into?

The Paluxy runs into the Brazos a few miles east of Glen Rose. It's above Whitney but pretty far above. Who knows?

Scott, very gracious of you to share that info, especially the last pic.

Although Dino Valley is a great place to camp, the bad news is I have lived here all my life and there are no Sandbass runs up the Paluxy. I don't know why that is so, but never have even seen a school in the river even way back before Commanche Peal craked all the aquifers and the rive ceased to flow. When it is running there are some good holes that hold Bream, Black Bass and Catfish, but never a lineside of any sort that I am awarre of. The hole on the Brasoz below the merge of the Paluxy, known as Tres Rios nowadays where the rock protude and a small creek falls into the river is a killer hole for Samdbass. Find that one and load up if they are running. A fly Rod in the Paluxy can be fun on the species mentioned and the river was flowing since the last rains. Kevin
