This is an old pic I received last year from my dad. It is real and so are the other pics on their website. I have the website listed below. Look at everything else they have shot. There are several huge boars in their photo gallery. Be careful about reporting pics as fake before doing the research. http://www.naturetours.com.tr/galery_eng.html

Look at the last pic.....the guy is behind the "1800 lb" boar, which is dead, and the head of the pig is off of the ground. You mean to tell me this guy is holding up the head of an 1800 lb pig?!?!? Yeah right! Fake!!

Go to the website and look how they take pics of all their boars. They are all like that, propped up on something and then covered with grass. This isn't BHO who is posting these pictures on their website.

The website is interesting in that they were not really careful in their translation into English...something I would look for if I was in search of an outfitter outside of the States. Nearly all of the pig pictures have some kind of vegetation right in the throat area of the pig. Some of the pics look genuine, and those pigs do look pretty big.
Finally, I would not go that far to hunt pigs, even big ones...we already have too many here in Texas that need to be harvested.

I saw a pack of wild pigs Sunday up in Isle Du Bios on Ray Roberts. They can't see very well. When I got close I yelled at them a it was pretty funny watching them scatter.

Pictures are real, story is not. But the hogs are not as big as they appear. Definately the fishing picture trick. They are using a fisheye lens, getting up close to the hog and the men behind in the background. They are pretty far back in the first picture, that is why the hog is in focus and they are not. Last picture, the hog is probably on a hill or rise in the terrain with the guy down lower way behind. I used a fisheye with this picture. Notice how small the back hip looks compared to the head. It was my second biggest hog and my biggest boar, but not as big as I made it look in the picture. I put myself as far back behind the hog as I could yet still be able to reach forward to put my hand on it. The edges then cropped from the original picture. I could have turned the hog more sidways, put my arm down, and moved back about three feet to make the hog look twice as big if I wanted, but it would have made the picture unrealistic just as the ones posted look.

Well I ran the exif information on the photo through a program I have.
There is no copyright, but the image was shot in 2005.
Here is the info....
Make = Hewlett-Packard Model = HP PhotoSmart C945 (V01.60) Software = ACD Systems Digital Imaging Date Time = 2005-10-09 10:17:37
[Camera] Exposure Time = 1/426" F Number = F4.2 Exposure Program = Normal program ISO Speed Ratings = 100 Exif Version = Version 2.2 Date Time Original = 2005-06-02 17:30:21 Date Time Digitized = 2005-06-02 17:30:21 Shutter Speed Value = 8.73 TV Aperture Value = 3.94 AV Brightness Value = 6.84 BV Exposure Bias Value = -0.67EV Max Aperture Value = F2.64 Metering Mode = CenterWeightedAverage Light Source = D55 Flash = Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode Focal Length = 20.29mm Maker Note = 1 Byte Subsec Time = 0.187" Flashpix Version = 30, 30, 31, 30 Color Space = sRGB Exif Image Width = 2608 Exif Image Height = 1952 Exposure Index = 100 Sensing Method = Not defined File Source = DSC Scene Type = A directly photographed image Custom Rendered = Normal process Exposure Mode = Auto exposure White Balance = Auto white balance Focal Length In 35mm Film = 99mm Scene Capture Type = Normal Gain Control = Low gain up Contrast = Soft Saturation = Normal Sharpness = Normal Device Setting Description = Subject Distance Range = Distant view
Generally speaking, if an image is altered in post production, it will wipe out the exif information (not always) but more often than not. This picture was taken with a point and shoot camera, rather than an SLR so not sure about the fish-eye affect, but definitly not in louisiana.... I would say this is Mongolia or something. The BPS in grapevinehas a boar photo in the john that is about this size I think.

They make one for that camera. Photosmart C945 Titanium Digital Optics Superwide multi-coated .45X lens.

It's a fake but a darn good photoshop job. I worked for a software company designing 16 bit color correction software for remote sensing. In layman's terms for extracting hidden data from satellite images, so I know what I'm talking about. Zoom in on the first image and look at the resolution of the guys and then the boar. The boar has been blown up. The edges of the boar also show residual artifacts from blending. Analyzing it with Photoshop CS3, you can see the poorly cut edges around the inside of the boars mouth. However the hair just behind the ear is near perfect detail with the rest of the image behind it, that makes it difficult to tell. How do you suppose they moved an 1800lb boar for 3 photos in different areas?
