I posted a month ago asking for your thoughts and prayers for a good friend of mine that is fighting Cancer. I am happy to report he has completed his first round of chemo and now awaiting a bone marrow doner match. If he can get a match soon and get his strength back quickly he will be having a transplant which will reqiure a second round of the vigirous chemo he has already went through to make way for the new blood from the doner. GOOD LUCK PARD and GOD speed can't wait to be sore mouthin em with you again soon

Carter blood center can direct you: On that subject alot of people dont know that you can give blood and specify who yoou want it credited to the type makes know difference it goes to the bank and they sort it accordingly. The cost of just recieving blood the way he has and will continue until he is through this is off the charts s! Thnx

No not exactly! They are already checking for a match. They will check all of his closest family first then go to the Data Base if none of his near family are a match. What i was getting at is if anybody wants to give blood for his cause they can do so and have it credited to Cliff.

Update on Cliff's pending marrow transplant. His brothers & sister were not a tissue match, so they started checking for matches in the donor bank. Out of 11,000,000 people, they came back with 269 potential matches. Further testing will be done over the course of the next month or so to determine the closest match for the transplant.

In Ft. Worth, Cooks Children's Hospital is the initial testing center to get into the donor bank program. I am going to be checking with them this week to determine what the steps are necessary to get in. I'll let yall know what I find out.

In the meantime, plan on getting out to the blood drive on the 11th. The pain is minuscule and it really helps those in need of blood services.

Update: Cliff is about to take on the challenge of a bone Marrow Transplant. This is graet news for Cliff and family, but this is a very shakey day by day trial that Cliff and loved ones will be going through. So while all of the support and prayers, I know have gotten him to this cross roads, has been great please lift Cliff and his family up one more time to get them through a very trying and unsure time. Update: Cliff has undergone the transplant and his counts are doing great. Hopefully he will be on the road to a full recovery soon.They have really zapped him and he is being closley monitored while his counts have been bottomed out and are starting to recover. From what I am told it will be a few months before it certain Cliff's body acccepted the transplant. Please also keep in your thoughts and prayers the donor that was gracoius enough to give. Please continue to keep Cliff and Family in your prayers.God speed Cliff.

Hey guys, I am at day +18 post transplant. Everything is going well. The doctors are amazed at my recovery so far. I have had a lot of prayers and support carrying me through all of this. I am stuck in a downtown Dallas apartment close to the hospital for a while but don't plan on being here long. The doctor told me if all goes well this week he may let me go home Friday for the weekend. A couple of days at home wil do me good. Thanks again for everyone's support here and a special thanks to John at Fun-n-Sun and of course Mike. I still need to get my boat in for a full service.I pulled the cowling off a couple of months ago and I had less than 15 hours on it. I am hoping to get her back on the water this fall. Hope to see you all there,and no Mike I'm not taking it easy on you.

Just an update on Cliff! He has been doing great,they are reducing his dosage on his rejection medicines weekly and he has been slowly regaining his stamina. I suspect by spring he will be back to his old-self. I'm not sure if that is good or not,LOL
