they usually lower it in the winter to kill the vegetation. You might check with the corps of engineers at rayburn to see what the water levels are since they regulate dam b also.

If you are bass fishing you might be better off fishing the angelina below rayburn. its full of spotted bass and largemouth plus you wont have to fight the south wind we will have this weekend.

+1 The angelina offers some great bassin' without the wind and worries of the lake. The bass are much easier to catch as well...

I love me some Angelina River fish. My dad drilled an oil well close to there when I was around 16 (I'm 28 now) and I came to visit him for 2 weeks. I brought our 17 ft. Express and fished it every day for 2 weeks. I think around 30 bass was the "worst" trip I had the entire time!

I bought every pink, limetruese and white trickworm that a local tackle store there had...

There is another ramp south of Hwy 63 called Bevil Port. The Angelina and Neches join together a few miles south of that ramp. The better fishing for me has always been around the Hwy 63 ramp.

I always seem to catch more spots as i head towards the dam and more largemouth as i head towards the forks of the 2 rivers. Really easy fishing with light tackle. Finesse worms and wacky worms plus small spinners. Fish the bluff banks that have springs dripping out if you go towards the dam.

This may be a good fall back plan if the winds get to high for me at T-bend this weekend. Thanks for the info!
