I have been goin to the LNVA here in Beaumont for Crappie & bass. They also just put some 3000 trout in the ponds if your interested..Not the best place for big fish but it's right around the corner from my house.I have been fishing mostly High Island/Bolivar area for the past 10 years. I dont know much about this area!If you know of anything for salt water please let me know? Maybe you and I couls get together and wet a hook.

umm if you dont have a boat (rick) then most people fish the salt water barrier in bmt. go down lucas (east) and take a left at Bigner road. then follow it all the way around and youll run into it.

Guys, I just moved from Beaumont but if you are wanting to put a hook in some saltwater fish, I will give you the location of my honey hole. It's not only easy to get to, but full of fish and you can get there in a car if you have no truck.

Rick, I am new to this forum and am learning the post thing, excuse the inability to do it right. I will be visiting inlaws in Beaumont from Mar 9 to 20th and would like to know where the LNVA fishing spot you mentioned is located because I have no boat and bankfishing will do. Also I have fished for flounder at Sabine Pass, Is this a good place to do that?? thanks Steve

I live 5 minutes form the saltwater barrier, never had too much luck on the stocked ponds, I guess I don't use the right bait. But i have pretty good luck on the river by the boat house. Green nightcrawlers for the freshwater drum/goo and bluegill. Live perch or shiners for the bigger stuff, flatheads and channels. Friday night people caught good size stripers and redfish as well has flatheads. With all the rain this past weekend the fishing will probably slow down as the salt will be pushed farther down river.
