These rules were established to make our Bass Fishing section a little more about bass fishing and a little less about advertising.

Tournaments:

We have a tournaments section located at: http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/forums/14/1/Tournament_Dates_Information

You can only post an event in the Bass Fishing section 30 days prior. Do not bump it more than once a week until the final week, then not more than once a day. Feel free to answer questions, but do not stage questions for the purpose of bumping the post.

Products and Services:

#1 Rule – if you are on a pro staff and we see you bashing your competitor’s products, you will be placed on a ban. If you do it twice, you are gone from this site.

If we ever catch anyone using second accounts to bash a company, they are going on a long break from this site.

All company announcements promoting products, pro staff and services are to be made in the "plugs & announcements" section at: http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/forums/51/1/plugs_announcements

Members can discuss whatever they like, but announcements coming from companies or their representatives need to be placed in the "plugs & announcements" section.

If you are on a pro staff, field staff or represent a company in any way, please feel free to answer questions about your product. Do not, however, post information unrelated to the subject of a post for the sole purpose of bumping it. Company representatives do not need to chatter back and forth with each other to keep the name of their product at the top of the Bass Fishing section. This behavior is much more obvious to the general TFF audience than you realize and probably does more harm than good for your company.

Contests and Giveaways:

You may hold contests, like “name the bait,” in the Bass Fishing section. Please email general_mail@texasfishingforum.com before you do with a basic outline to get approval. If you are offering product or service rewards, make sure they are delivered to the winner in a reasonable amount of time. If you don’t, we will have to refrain from allowing you to hold contests on the TFF in the future.

Also, do not bump contests or giveaways more than once a week, and do not have people associated with your business bump. If people are interested in the post, the members will keep it bumped.
