Hi guys,

Once again I have found myself on the wrong end of a pink slip, So I once again come to you for leads!

I am currently located in Abilene(Willing to relocate or travel)

I have a experience is several different fields,

I was and Paramedic for 6 years, however I am no longer certified, nor am I able to re-certify at this time.

I have about 1.5 years of construction experience, starting as a laboror graduating into a equpiment operator. (Loader, compactor, and some skid steer) I am a fast learner on these machines due to my family owning a constuction company while I was growing up.

I have a small amount of direct sales experience, I think this might be a good field for myself since I am a very outgoing and people oriented person.

Also I was recently a Correctional Officer for the State, (Not my choice, but it was more the confinment than the job)

I am willing to look at anything that will come my way, due to the fact that I MUST support my family since my last un-employed period, exhausted our savings.

I am willing to travel and be away from home and to potentially relocate if I can find a Job with career potential and/or enough of a monetary incentive.

I will toot my own horn and say, I am a VERY fast learner, Very detail oriented, I am not afraid of things unknown to me and am willing to learn and dedicate myself to the industry and company that employs me..

I am also fairly proficient with computers and most applications.

I again thank you for your time to read this and will be very grateful for any advice or leads, I may receive.

Thanks Again flag Joe flag

Just thought I'd throw this out there for anyone who really needs to work and generate some income quick.

I have been in radio advertising for the past year now and love my gig, however for 12 years previous I was one of those guys you see selling steaks out of their trucks. I started out working for a local Dallas company for 2 years or so and then found a supplier and worked for myself for the 10 years following.
Before you jump to conclusions, I made $75k+ for 10 years straight and was usually done with work and on the lake by 3pm most days. The only reason I found a new gig was that after 12 years I was burned out, and with a new daughter really needed a job that provided group benefits.
DISCLAIMER*** Most guys you see selling meat make about half that and are in this job because they are drug heads and can't hold down a "regular job". Selling meat pays cash daily and that really appeals to folks like that. They usually sell a box (with maybe 8 steaks in it) of steaks at a time for around $25.
The only way I did business was $250-$300 sales, typically a CASE (50 steaks) of steaks AND a case (80 pieces of chicken) of chicken together at a time, and my gross profit on this was around $150. The game plan was to go out and make anywhere from 2-5 sales per day. Most days I could go out and make $300 profit in 2-4 hours, sometimes much quicker. I had numerous days I'd clear $600 profit working 10a-3p. You set your own hours and decide who you want to see. One of my best friends did the same thing for a year or two longer than myself and made the same $$$.
This job is what you make of it. Even though I have a full time gig I love now, I still have my freezer and menus and will occasionally run out on a SAT and pick up an extra $300 or so working 10a-1p..sometimes less, sometimes more.
I am posting this beacuse times are tough for some, and someone with a family in a bind could more than make ends meet and if you're good actually bring home some pretty nice coin.

I'll throw out one place to start if you really need a job. Galens Gourmet in Dallas is usually hiring and provides a company truck. (www.galensgourmet.com) If you are serious, shoot me a PM and I can set you on the right track. For myself, I would use your own supplier, truck, and freezer. You would need to get some magnets made as signs for the truck, and a nice looking color menu. There are several national suppliers that cater to this industry who keep product ready in cold storages around DFW and other metro areas. All you need to do is contact them, wire the money to them, and pick up your product at the cold storage facility.

Again, if you need a gig and want to get started shoot me a pm. I am not a recruiter or affiliated in any way with this industry now. Just someone who knows the ins and outs and can help direct you how to make a dam good living if you need to bring in a paycheck. God bless- JD

The Town of Argyle is still currently seeking a qualified candiadate to fill the position of Police Officer. You must have 1 year of full time patrol experience and be TCLEOSE Certified. Starting pay is 44K and some change. 2 to 1 retirement with 7% put in every check. You must have no arrest history, a clean driving record and background. All you need to do is call and make an appointment to take the written standardized test. After that I will conduct a background investigation on you and we will go from there. Call and speak with Captain cottle at (940) 464-7254 for more details. Thanks.

I am skilled in graphics and desktop publishing. I have designed logos that have been trademarked. I do vinyl graphics (decals) for automobiles. My work has won awards in advertising. I have designed brochures, business cards, letterheads, etc. I know color seperation for press. I am proficient on a Mac and a PC. There is no software out there that I cannot learn if I can mess with it for a week or so. I have an associate's degree in Business and am almost finished with my BS in IT and Multimedia Communications. I have even done advertising layouts for those cool calendar posters that you see in businesses sometimes with pictures of the police department, fire department or school on them. If any of you need any of these things, please contact me. Telecommuting for these orders is quick, easy and so much fun! I am also proficient as an Administrative Assistant.

Here is whats really funny.....I have all the time in the world now to fish, and hardly any money to do it. Aint life Grand?

Anyway,

I have been a Sr Construction Manager with Starbucks up until July 29th, when they gave me the heave-ho just weeks after the birth of my youngest daughter. The economy has been rough especially on me since my experience is really in QSR and retail, both of which have been hit extremely hard and as you hear every day, getting worse.

I have 15 years experience, and have owned my own company which was sold in 2002.

I also own a small photography studio here in Plano which for the past 5 years or so was a part time thing for toy money (boats, bikes, etc) but since being laid off, it has been my only full-time option. While the photography does not make up for the 100+k job I was laid off from, had it not been for the photography, we would have lost the house by now for sure!

I am looking for a company that needs a good construction manager with retail and QSR experience, great interation with the client, and exceptional communication skills.

I wish everyone who is out of work right now godspeed, and I truly hope that big business in America does not try an use the economic downturn as a convenient excuse to outsource more jobs overseas and increase their bonus by cutting costs.

Ahhhhh, but I digress, and certainly do not want to hijack this thread.

Thanks
