It looked real enough. And, if it wasn't so what, it made for a thrilling view.

I saw it about a week ago. I thought it looked fake the first time I saw it. The field looks like one of those miniature landscapes. Also when the plane hits the ground, it bounces like it has no weight at all. I have been in aviation for a very long time and I know that basic aerodynamics insist that when one wing is gone, the lift of the remaining wing would put the aircraft in a severe roll that would not be controllable. Although, with enough engine power, rudder, and full right aileron it may be possible, but unlikely.

It looks convincing to the untrained eye. But I would have to agree tha tthis is impossible with a real full sacle aircraft. I have been working and instructing in the aviation world for over 30 years. Too many questions about aerodynamics, fuel , hydraulics and control cabels that are unanswered. Wing to fusealage attachment isa complex structure. For a wing to disembark cleanly is an impossibility. There are control rods for ailerons, flaps, wiring harnesses, fuel lines, hydraulic lines, fuel probes harnesses and more. Non which are visible. Not to mention that the engine would suffer rapid fuel starvation due to the severed fuel line. But, hey, it's cool.

Tight Lines!
God Bless

lol, it wasn't a book about how I feel. It was about my opinion of your thoughts and your apparent arrogance of thinking anyone cared about your thoughts but you. Your weak implied appology isn't very convinceing, I did get my intended answers for some intelligent people. I also can speak very freely about what I think and I think I have done that pretty well. Don't concern yourself with my feelings, rolfmao I doubt you'll lose any sleep over that. In my opinion you should concern yourself with what comes out of your mouth. That's just some friendly advice from a "baby boomer" to what I assume to ge a "Generation Y'er" (you can look that up if you want) Despite what you may think, it's not all about you. That also an "opinion". I'm wise enough to know that my opinion only really matters to me. They're just like a$$holes. Everyone has one, some stink worse than others. I don't think you intend on hurting feelings, I think you like trolling to stir things up, some people get their jollies that way. To each, their own. Once again my opinion. I hope you mouth don't prevent you from living a long fun filled life. Oh yeah, if I hurt your feelings questioning your intelligence.......... sorry.

Well I've made it 51 yrs without your advice. I think I'll chance it and continue. The highlight of most of my days are brought on usually by a family member like my granddaughter born on my birthday last week, and not anything from any internet forum. I'm from the "Old school" of thought, basically "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". You may have heard of it. I guess being insulted by people you don't know or don't know you isn't anything to get upset about to some people. I doubt there's any lessons you can teach me that I would place any importance on. Your the one I hope learned a lesson. I didn't mean to hi-jack my own thread blush. I'm moving on. bolt

I am just a private pilot who would never fly an Extra 300 or a copy cat(unless someone let me) but if any aircraft could do that, that would be the one.

It is possible that the fuel tank might not have been in that wing (stunt planes have a small one in fuselage normally)

It is almost impossible that the flight controls would work as well as they appear to after he lands it, he drops the left aileron and wiggles it.

It is almost impossible that the main gear didnt snap/fold on that hard landing, that would have been a many g's to cause the bounce.

Also hard to imagine no controls cables dangiling from the broken wing area.

As far as the clean break, this could happen on that type aircraft providing it is of the type that they take the wings off to ship it to the shows, bolts/supports could fail and make a semi clean break.

Answer...I just dont know....but if it had been me piloting then it would have been the last time...for sure.
