Has anyone fished lake Balmorhea latley.? looking for some info one fishing conditions as well as good spots to fish in. hopegully heading there tomarrow. what u all think?

I didn't know there were any fish there. I grew up in West Texas and the only people I have heard talk about it were going there to play. Hear is a link to TPWD it's the only info I have. Good luck and let me know how you did.

When I was in HS I lived just north of Balmoreah. Mid 1980's. As I remember there was sort of a Marina. More of a beer store and a gravel ramp on the North Side. Thre was a little cove there. We would catch a buncf of crappie in that cove. I would not have any idea if there were still any fish there or not.

I've thought about swinging in on my way to Amistad to check it out.I don't know if there is a boat ramp or any access;so post and let us know.It might be a sleeper.Thanks Charles

We've been down there alot but, I never fished it. Like N.M. Basser said it could be a sleeper, let us know. I have seen some pretty good sized catfish in the pool while snorkelling.
