The Samaritan Project, Inc. is hosting an OPEN BASS TOURNAMENT on Lake Athens on Saturday, Oct. 25th. First Place is guaranteed $2000.00 with 20 paid places for only 100 entries. Over the Slot bass will be an extra $500.00 and Under the Slot smallest bass will be another $500.00. Heavy Stringer for Youth Anglers under 16 years old is another $500.00 along with Adult Senior 65 years or older heavy stringer paying another $500.00. Entry Fee is $150.00 per Team.
Proceeds from the tournament will go directly to the "Fish for a Cause" project sponsored by the Samaritan Project, Inc. This tournament will help senior citizens and indugent patients in East Texas with hospice care for those who need it. Please consider fishing in this event.
Besides the tournament itself the Freshwater Fisheries Center is hosting a dinner on Friday evening at the Freshwater Fisheries Center for everyone registering by Monday, October 20th. There will be a silent auction on Friday evening at the Freshwater Fisheries Center along with "air castles" for the kids. This should be a good tournament and is definitely worthy of your entry.
