While running back to the weigh in yesterday my alarm started buzzing. I stopped the boat and shut down the motor. When I took off in the morning all was fine. I fished in one area for about 5 hours but half way back is when the buzzer started going off. I checked the oil tank and it was topped off and the caps were on tight. So I turned it back on and went to take off again and the buzzer went off again. I could go at about 2000 RPM's without the buzzer going off but when it got to about 4000 RPM's it would start buzzing again. Ususally the water pressure gauge reads between 10 and 15 but it was under 10 when I got it on plane. Could this be that it is overheating?

P.S. There was still a good stream of water pumping out of the motor ( peeing from the motor LOL)

Yes, you most likly need a water pump impeller.

Don't trust the pee hole or you'll burn it up. It doesn't take a lot of pressure for it to pee hard. Trust your alarm! The impeller must be shot.

Had the same problem around 3000 RPM alarm would go off. time to change the impeller.

thermos or temp sensors. If they stick, water may still come out, but not circulating to all of the water jacket.
