The 2009 Schedules are posted on the CAST website at www.fishcast.com. We have several regions set-up to enable anglers to prefish some of the regional Bass Champs lakes with us the weekend prior to the Bass Champs event. CAST Tournaments are all sanctioned Skeeter/Yamaha Real Money Tournaments providing excellent opportunity to win extra cash for winning the tournament. Come out and try fishing a couples tournament or two; you will find our tournaments as competitive and fun as any tournament in Texas.

We have a tentative agreement with the city of Corsicana to host the 2009 CAST Classic on Richland-Chambers. We have not set a date yet. We should have it in writing later this week.

Here is the 2009 schedule for C.A.S.T. Southeast Region. Our schedule parallels the 2009 Bass Champs EAST schedule so you can fish with us on the weekend before the Bass Champs tournament.

We are part of the Skeeter/Yamaha sanctioned tournaments so you can bonus under the Skeeter Real Money Program also. Grab your wife, girlfriend, mom, daughter, niece, aunt or girl you just met and come fish with us. Who knows, if you win a C.A.S.T. tournament it may pay your Bass Champs expenses for the season.

Also if you are the ORIGINAL owner of a SKEETER / YAMAHA boat package that was bought at DAWSON MARINE www.dawsonmarine.com and WIN a C.A.S.T. SOUTHEAST regional tournament you will be eligible for the $500 bonus money incentive.

Are there any qualifications to participate in this event?

your partner should be of the opposite sex.

That brings up a question I had. If a mans partner can't make it, shouldn't the allowed substitute be female also. It didn't seem right when a substitute was male.

If you are the male on a team fishing with CAST and your partner (female) can not make a tournament we allow you to either; fish by yourself (only twice) during the year or you may substitute another female once during the year. The word "once" means you can keep the same substitute partner for the remainder of the season or the original female partner can return anytime. Same goes for females needing to substitute a male partner. If a couple fishes the entire season and then one member of the couple can not attend the TOP SIX Invitational or CAST Classic, (should they be qualifiers), there can be NO substitution and the remaining member will participate alone. Do you have to fish every tournament date for the year?

Maybe I made an identification mistake but I thought I saw two men in the same boat on the Limestone tournament.

No you are NOT required to fish every event in your chosen region. You can fish as many or as few as you want however. If you join after the first tournament of the year you will be required to pay your membership plus the next two tournament entry fees.

If a couple pays entry fees for all six tournaments in their "home" region, they automatically qualify for participation in the annual CAST Classic Championship Tournament. If a couple elects not to pay entry for all six tournaments in their "home" region, they can still qualify for the end of year championship tournaments; the CAST TOP SIX Invitational Tournament and the CAST Classic via our points system.

Couples are awarded points at each tournament based on their finishing position; 100 points for first place, 99 for second, and so on... All couples receive a minimum of 25 points regardless of finishing position. To qualify for the annual CAST Classic without fishing all six tournament in the selected "home" region couples must accumulate a minimum of 250 points.

It may sound complicated, but it really is fairly easy to qualify for the Classic. If you still have questions or need more information please feel free to contact any one of our Tournament Directors at www.fishcast.com.

I personally have never been on Limestone but the C.A.S.T. wrapped Skeeter boat at lakes in the Southeast, Amistad, Lake LBJ, and other tournament lakes that I have friends that practice with me gets heads turning everytime.....
