We had the pleasure of staying at Angler's Lodge for 9 days and nights during our CAST Classic tournament.

I have got to tell you, we have never been made more welcome and at home than we were at Angler's Lodge.

We have stayed at many places over the past 17 years of fishing CAST and Angler's Lodge is ranked #1 with all of us that stayed there.

Dianne & Carl are the BEST! As well as all of their staff - there is no better anywhere.

When we all left (and I am talking SEVERAL couples) we felt we were leaving "old friends" behind.

Food is great. Bait shop is one of the best we have been in.

If you ever get a chance to go to Lake Amistad, check them out....you will not be sorry you did!

Yep,,,, I keep telling people when they post on here asking where to stay at Amistad that it's a no-braniner. But, until you actually witness the hospitality and accomidations, you don't believe it could be that relaxing.

It's our second home. I have pictures of our fishing group standing in front of their cleaning house sign with a bunch of stripers and whites that go back over 30 years. That sign is still there!!!

I have to give a big thumbs up for the CAST people as well. Elizabeth and I enjoyed meeting all y'all.

What a great group! Hopefully we can make time to fish a few of the tournaments next year.

Ya'll are very welcome ! We certainly enjoyed having all of you ! And I can tell you, my ribs still are sore from all the laughing we did until all hours of the night. We will not ever forget your visit ! And the jokes were pretty dang good too ! It was an interesting week. From playing surgeon on L.W.'s leg getting that DD22 out that stuck him to the EXCELLENT evening meals you folks cooked ! It will rate as one of the best weeks we have had since we have owned the place. Ranks right up there at the top ! And Harley and Mercedes, you take care of Momma and Daddy and stay as cute as your are now ! Ruby Lee says "Woof" !

I'll agree Carl and Dianne are good people. Anglers Lodge is a first rate operation. The staff are great also.

Carl can jerk imbedded hooks out of people with the best of them.

The only thing strange about that place is that there is no cockroaches , I thought all lake lodges had cockroaches. Nine days and nights and never did see the first one !!!!!

JoAnn is ready to move back down there if ya'll will rent her a upstairs room . She says she lost 6 lbs running up and down them stairs. I think I gained 6 lbs from all the good food.

Room 24 is ALL hers. LOL

Did Dianne get her card from Mercedes yet?

Yes she did !!!!!! It has been put on the card wall of fame !!!! Showed Ruby the pic and she slurped the picture giving her a kiss ! LOL.

We really enjoyed having your group here for the week and look forward to seeing all of you again sometime.

It is nice when groups come for a week or longer it gives us time to get to know everyone and make friends and we all really enjoy it and miss each of you when you go back home.
