How's fishing on Elephant Butte?

End of 1st Qtr-7 to 3 Okies. The fishing on the Butte Is really poor for Bass.White bass are good on jigging spoons at 35 foot.The lake for the first time in years has some crappie and walleyes have come on strong.We have more water than we have had in a few years;so maybe we will get a spawn next spring.We just need another 30 or 40 foot of water.

Some big stripers were caught this spring;but not like it was in the 80's and 90's.We used to have a 40 mile long lake-now it's about 9 miles-thats why I spend all my time on Amistad.On topic What a fun game to watch hook em horns.
