Anybody using the Ultimate Smartlink ? It is a titanium oring that you put on the your crankbait that will allow you to save your crankbait should the treble hook become snagged. By applying straight line pressure the oring comes free.

Sounds like it might work but wanted to see if anyone else has tried them.

I saw it while watching Bill Dance Outdoors.

That scares me. One more thing to go wrong.

Surely there is a cheaper way.....

6 rings for $8.99 at Tackle Warehouse. I have some custom cranks and would like a way to save them but I have always been able to get to them with a lead drop or push pole.
