I agree that McCain is to passive and doesn't really want this thing (POTUS). I saw the same thing on FOX. The reporter said you could hear a pin drop in the place after he said that.
I do think we may have a set-iup for Palin in 2012 if the country survives Obama and his socialism, tax assault, allowing takeover of the country by enemies from within and foriegn.

In my opinion, stick a fork in him......he's done.
It's going to take a miracle....and I mean a miracle for him to pull this out.
I feel bad for Palin that she has hitched her wagon to this turkey. If I were her, I'd give serious consideration to pulling out, packing my gear and head back to Alaska.
Heck...I may even move there myself. I want to get as far away from these pinheads as I can. If she did that she would be the target of a witch hunt!

I do think we may have a set-iup for Palin in 2012 if the country survives Obama and his socialism, tax assault, allowing takeover of the country by enemies from within and foriegn. I really, really have my doubts that the republic will survive. I don't mean that the USA will stop existing as a country, but that it will be so fundamentally changed that I am genuinely concerned that we will never recover the freedoms we will lose during an Obama administration. Think about it. He will almost assuredly have a super-majority in the Congress....filibuster proof. Which means the Dems will ram through ANYTHING they want........fairness doctrine, gun-control/confiscation, etc. ,etc. And what's worse......Supreme Court justices that will thwart any challenge to the junk that the Democratic Congress and Obama push through. The nationalization of the financial industry over the past few weeks is just the beginning. We are being taken over by Marxists and a shot has not been fired. Once they regain power, I'm convinced that the Socialist Democratic Party will do ANYTHING to retain it. ANYTHING. Palin running in four years will be a moot point. It will be a sham election. She'll never have a chance.

As for Palin, she'll never make it out of the Primaries. You neocons are very good at personal attacks, and there are so many that will leveled against her that she will not even be a blip on the radar.

Thank you John McCain. You will at least now lose with some amount of respect. I didn't have a problem with that one. The woman was not speaking the truth and he was right to correct her. But I'm not referring to that particular video. I've never said McCain was not honorable. I'm saying that I'm not convinced he wants to win badly enough. He sure doesn't act like it.

McCain wants to be a "Gentleman" not President.
He is going to get his wish. I think he wants to keep some of the respect he has gained over all these years, and does not want to throw it away on the lies of the Karl Rove machine. I applaud you John McCain!

He is going to get his wish. I think some of his people told him he had to have the Independents to win, so he is playing nice, while he loses his base--SAD..

McCain wants to be a "Gentleman" not President.
He is going to get his wish. I think some of his people told him he had to have the Independents to win, so he is playing nice, while he loses his base--SAD.. Well....I don't think he'll lose his base. But I think he is mistaken if he thinks he's going to win independents using this strategy. People are not attracted to weakness. They are attracted to strength. McCain, whether he intended to or not, essentially said that an Obama Presidency would not be such a bad thing. "you don't have to be scared of an Obama Presidency" I think is what he said. Well....then what earthly reason would an independent have to want to vote for him? If Obama is nothing to be scared of, then why not vote for Obama? He's younger, he looks better, he's more eloquent. Instead, McCain condescendingly patted his supporters on the head and told them to not get excited. Indeed. He certainly isn't getting excited, is he? Yes sir. That's inspirational leadership. Had I been at that meeting I would have walked out at that point. I'm sticking with Ron Paul. He doesn't have a snowball's chance of winning. But you know what? At this point, neither does McCain.
