They work year round in some lakes. It can't hurt to have one tied on!!!

don't forget wintertime, when the water is 50 degrees and the fish won't hit much, they'll destroy a fast moving red rattletrap over submerged grass.

I busted my red boxes out today.

Getting ready for the fall bite. I have found somedays, Rayburn reds/milo work, some days firetiger, and some days, chromes.

How do I teach the bass in the spillway at Lake o' the Pines that they are supposed to hit certain baits at certain times of the year?

Some times they hit topwaters, sometimes plastics fished along the wall in the white water, other times they hit crappie jigs. Those are the contraryist bass I have ever seen. The never seem to follow the same pattern from week to week.

Only one way to find out. Try the Rattle Trap Red Craw, chart belly. If you don't catch them on it. Switch to a green color rattle trap.

They work year round.

LY on Cedar Creek, I had a great crankbait pattern going around the docks. Sunny side of the dock, throw the blue chrome 200 series bandit.
Shady side of the dock 1/4 oz red shad rattletrap.
