The weather may be cooling off but, the sun can still cause damage. I just got back from having another basal cell carcinoma removed from my nose and had to have a skin transplant. Too much time in the sun and not enough protection WILL catch up with you.

Yep, gonna have a bcc removed from my face (jaw area)tomorrow. and I do use sunblock now! I put it on before I leave to go fishing, or even when I cut the grass.

Years of sun exposure/sunburn, especially when I was younger, have caught up with me. This is probably about the 12th or more that I have had removed over the last 15-20 years. Fortunately, they have all been bcc's and not the worst kinds, that metastasize.

And don't forget your scalp, especially if you have a bald area! Sure, I wear a wide brim hat, but when the boat is on plane the hat doesn't stay on.

I had a good bcc on my scalp a couple of years ago. The derm. doc. said that if I let it go, it would grow into my skull!

I get a checkup every six months. And about every other time, something is removed or burned off with some kind of gas. It use to be freon, but its some other gas now.

I have fair skin, but anyone can get them!

I had two removed off of my face and neck. Apply and Re-Apply.
