It's great until OPEC meets in the next week or so. They're on-record yesterday, saying they'd like to see it at around $100.

OPEC cant afford to hurt the world economy. If they raise it, it'll be short lived. Demand will fall even more and they will suffer even more.

This is oil, not refined gasoline. You have to look up the gas price per gallon on the market.

because the HMFIC wont be able to retire early with several millions of dollars if they lower the price to reasonable levels to HELP stabilize the economy....

If gas ever hits $0.99/gal again, I'm taking a road trip through every state in the US (minus Alaska and Hawaii)!!

I just about did that this summer. I went through over half of the US anyway. I started adding up my gas receipts this morning and had to stop before I made myself sick.

I can understand missing Hawaii, but not going to Alaska, that's sad...

Gas was down to $2.85 yesterday evening, OF, in Burleson, not sure what it is today...

It was still $3.29 here in Shreveport last nite. I was down to 1/4 tank, but still decided to wait another day to fill up. I think I'll just buy $20 today and see where it is tomorrow.

I was watching robin meade this morning and their "Financial Advisor" was saying that when the gas prices are higher the gas compainies dont sell as much gas. So when the cost of oil per barrel drops the price of gas drops EXTRA EXTRA slow so the gas compaines can make up the differance in sales, if they dropped it to match the oil per barrel prices right away then they wouldnt make a profit. Dont slay me for this, its what they were saying on CNN.

It sure is funny how when oil prices increase, the gas prices at the pump increase within hours, though.

I know I speak for a lot of other key Exxon Mobil stockholders like myself when I say we are very disappointed in this development.

Gas in my little hamlet was $3.29 at 1000 when I drove thru going south, when I returned 3 hours later it had gone to $2.99.
