I was listening to a talk show on the way home from Hubbard a while ago and they said OPEC was meeting to decide if they should slow production. Prices were falling to fast and they do not like oil to go below $100 a barrel. Unbelieveable....

I might be able to afford to fertilize my hay crop for next year. That would be a wonderful thing.

Heard it was 2.78 on the Ft. Worth side some places. Still 3.39 here. Amazing 60 miles 60 cent more. guess it is a penny a mile per gal.

Was 2.74 yesterday morn in White Settlement during a little gas war. Right now it's back to 2.89. Of course you'll burn up a 1/4 tank of gas waiting in line to fill up.

It wont matter what the prices are soon.

This economy has broken the backs of too many folks.

The damage is done.

Paid $3.29 again on Friday for Texaco. Lowest I've seen in Shreveport is 3.18, but that was at Racetrack and I wont put that carp in my Jeep.

Right in the middle of the oil fields of west Texas, gasoline was 3.29 as of last night.

Remember, ladies and gents....Texas main economy is OIL and GAS. you may want to think about cheerleading with the rest of the Yankees about the total tanking of the OIL and GAS economy....Seems as if you are crapping in your own nest.

Pilothawk,

Wholesale Nitrogen prices have been falling like a rock. Don't expect the same from Potash or trace elements.

Wasn't it just a year ago when OPEC said they didn't want gas prices to reach $100?! They must be hanging out with US politicians and learning how to double-speak.

OPEC most likely have already played a part at wrecking the world economy with inflated energy costs. I think their greed hasn't played a part in world financial troubles. Maybe they're afraid they may have at least hurt the goose that laid the golden egg.

Come on.....$50 !

If the price of oil goes that low, exploration and development in the US will be cut and we will once again increase imports from our friends in the Mid East. Oil price needs to stay right where it's at today.

We maybe should be little bit careful what we wish for. Lower oil (and gas) prices are dandy down to a certain point, but the falling economy that is fueling these falling oil prices is bound to cost a whole lot of people their jobs or at least a substantial loss of income. I for one, wouldn't be too happy with $2.00 gas if I still couldn't afford to go fishing because I was trying to live on unemployment. I'm fearful that if something doesn't happen to prevent the stock market from plunging like it has been, cheap gas probably wouldn't seem nearly so inviting.

Exactly! I was going to retire on 12-1-2008, but now I'm going to work a little longer to see what is going to happen. I have a job, and would hate to retire have to try and find another if things don't improve.
