What do you like for a search bait this time of year? I like to use a chartreuse/purple balsa Bagley crank or the 4 blade Stanley spinners, usually in white. In clear water I like the Shad color Bandit cranks.

I have had good luck with the bandit 200 series in some sort of shad, or chart color, banging into all the wood I can find. Or like 1Holmes says, some sort of rattle bait.

On Ray Bob right now; Lucky Craft BDS 1 in Ghost minnow or a Lucky Craft Moonsault cb100 in American Shad. Both have been equally killer.

I agree with The Natural, but might also throw a white bass assasain or fluke style bait with a little extra added weight to speed things up.

Spinnerbait and Small Crankbait. When the water gets in the 60's I switch the crankbait to a suspending jerkbait. When it gets cooler I go with a C-rig on structure and a t-rig on cover.

By far a watrmln-red/pearl swimbug. Rig it texas and have an 1/8oz. bullet wieght, then just through it out and reall back with some pops and jerks.
I also love a shallow diving square billed, shad colored crankbait.

Chatterbait or pop-r right now. one of these will let you know where the fish are.

Well, no one else has said it so I will. The fish are shallow. This is the second best time of the year to fish. You should not have to search very far. Throw some watermelon red and watermelon seed favorite type of plastic shallow or a spinnerbait. It's been working very well here anyway. Good Luck!

Blue Chrome or Chartrusse Chrome rattle trap. Fished on the edges of grass lines or ripped throught grass flats.
